Taliza Coffee / Roastery — Restaurant in Santa Fe Springs

I will be honest, typically I don't like writing reviews on places I visit because I hate being bias. But, after visiting Taliza Coffee on Rosecrans in Norwalk, CA I had to. The ambiance is definitely nice inside with a contemporary decor, and open area for doing work or HW on a laptop. If this was a college town then yes this place fits in. Norwalk is no college town, especially near Taliza which happens to be very industrial. Service was slow and no sense of urgency was given to customers. I waited over 30 min for a house coffee and breakfast special. 1 barista who also serves as cashier, and cook assistant. She is very nice, but poor girl needs help! The owner watches every transaction, what he should do is hire more help and a permanent cook! My order was screwed up twice and my coffee was cold by the time my food arrived. If you are there to kill time, then this spot is for you. But if you want prompt service go down a block or two in either direction of Rosecrans to Starbucks or even Burger King. Wish...

I went to this place because it had fantastic reviews and the food looked very good in the pictures. Boy was I surprised. There were no waitresses, the food was not good at all, then on top of it when we were sitting there, they were serving their own race by bringing them coffee and food and was surprised by that action. I am never coming here again. The food is severely overpriced. If I could give them less than one star, I would. You are served breakfast with plastic forks, the Belgian waffles were hard, and they didn't even ask how we wanted our eggs. They assumed scrambled. Never coming here again. Don't come here if you are not Asian. My niece is Japanese, but doesn't look it. She looks white. I am Mexican American. They treated everyone else better than us because everyone else was Asian. I am so amazed at this little nit in the wall. I came across this location when I was in dire need of a coffee awakening experience. And to my surprise, they were just the coffee shop to give me the quick fixaroo.

Coffee? Well balanced. Food? Non-greasy. It's on overall soothing experience which I recommend to everyone. In addition to this wonderful experience I will not deny a delay in service when they are a little too tied up, understandably so. So, in order to prevent idle time please order from their online order option. Even then, if your order cannot be completed due to lack of inventory (for whatever reason that may be) they will contact you via text to inform of any alternative selections.

Overall, peaceful. Respectful....
