Valentino's — Restaurant in Santa Fe Springs

I was in a rush with coworkers and I didn't feel like waiting to have a sandwich made at Jersey Mike's so I walked over to see if they had a quicker service to make a sandwich. But I saw a slice of deluxe and a slice of pepperoni in the heater carousel so I told the guy let me have those two slices please and a medium Coke. When I came out and started eating the deluxe pizza I couldn't stop... I inhaled it literally. The sauce is great. What I liked about the sauce and the toppings was that some places that have their own homemade sauce have too much acidity and after about a slice and a half your tongue starts to I feel that acidity. Not a bad thing and it never stops me from eating more but I did not taste that in this sauce. It was very savory and delicious. Somebody mentioned that they probably don't even skimp on ingredients I believe that because the cheese was just as good. This was just a fluke coincidence that I stopped here I had never had even seen this place and we were in the area. I really didn't expect this from two slices of pizza that were sitting in oven carousel I didn't even know how long they had been there. I'm looking forward to going back to see if this was just a fluke or the real deal. I think it's the real deal and I hope they don't change a thing on their pizzas or...

A quick correction to the info on this Google listing: this is NOT part of the "Valentino's" chain of pizza and buffet restaurants in Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, etc. They only have two tables for eating inside, and are really geared for take-out or delivery. Pretty basic little place.

Having said that, the folks are friendly and helpful, their take-out window is super busy around dinner time, and I hear they do make pretty good pizza. We just couldn't wait long enough to try it ourselves, and our group wasn't going to fit here anyway... the web link on Google made us think they had plenty of seating! Oops.

Pizza is so good here, the ingredients are fresh you can taste the quality of the pizza. This is the way pizza is suppose taste like, fresh ingredients, sauce and the pizza is just enough. I also tried their chicken fettuccine too, they supply the fettuccine with adequate amount of sauce was it exactly right.
