Peet's Coffee — Restaurant in Santa Monica

I walked into Peet’s this afternoon, located on Montana Avenue in Santa Monica, and was lucky enough to be greeted by the manager, Sean. I asked him several questions about the best kind of decaf coffee to suit my particular taste and needs. Sean was extremely helpful, friendly and patient. He spent a long time walking me through my options. He further helped to orient me with regards to the right way to grind my coffee to the consistency that would optimize the flavor for my chosen method of preparation. He even explained to me how to change the consistency of the coffee grinds if I were to choose a different way of preparing my coffee in the future. I am no coffee expert (as you can tell) but Sean gladly shared his knowledge with me in the kindest way. He went above and beyond just selling me coffee. Thank you, Sean. terrific local hang out with fine coffee some pretty good pastries wonderful outdoor seating kind of a gathering hole for the post run post cycle crowd also it's fair share of yoga pants. Still lovely south west exposure for terrific tables bike and run here mostly myself so don't know what the parking flight but I believe they actually even have a lot behind the store. It's rare nowadays to walk in a coffee shop and feel that instant comforting buzz that comes with a "local" spot, and this location always delivers on just that. This has been my go-to Peet's for over 2 years and it still brings me so much joy whenever I pop in to grab my regular order. The staff remember their local guests by name and the service has always been great in my opinion. Kudos to the staff and the community that have made this location such a treat to look forward...
