Subway — Restaurant in Santa Monica

Haven’t been here since the end of 2019 or the first couple of months of 2020.

Anyways I did go to this location on occasion. Usually it wasn’t that busy there but service and food was pretty good. No complaints about that.

The reason why I knocked off 2 stars was because they closed extremely earlier than the posted time that was on the door. They used to close (supposedly) around 8pm or 9pm but were already closed at 6-6:30pm. I understand if it was an emergency or staff meeting or a holiday but there were no signs up saying anything or any holidays on the date. It happened at least twice and myself and the people that I was with had to then hunt around across town to get something to eat.

I am aware that they close around 3pm now. Only improvement I can see (if they still do this) is to stay until 3pm or 2:30-2:45pm if they don’t get...

I am a year customer because it is convenient, and yes they are completely skimpy with veggies. The Mgr is reasonable when she is present, but once she is gone..no smiles, no customer service and maybe one actually is friendly. They speak spanish, I understand, but not fluent and have seen some rudeness even when asking for something like extra veggies, more olives or putting spinach as the first ingredient. One of the youngest employees got attitude over a simple request. They do not seem happy, and management should find people who smile, appreciate their job, and do not project their anger towards customers. They are in need of Leadership & Caring...

I'm angry enough about the quality of service I received here I haven't been back to any Subway since.

They refused to honor a coupon saying it was only good on something different from what I ordered when the coupon clearly started "any sandwich". When I asked why they said "fine, we don't take coupons. You can try again tomorrow with a different sandwich".

Asking insult to injury, there was plastic packaging in my sandwich. Someone had carelessly cut the corner off some package and it ended up in my food. I emailed corporate about both issues and received...
