Short review: This place is not kid-friendly. Long review: A few months ago, I walked here lost and pregnant, covered in rain and phone completely dead. Shaken up after a man who saw me wandering circled the block 3 times at one point- offering me a ride I kept refusing... I'm 100% convinced the female bartender I spoke to is an NPC from a video game. But even NPC's would've shown more humanity than she did. All I wanted was to use the outlet long enough to get my phone back on and call an Uber or open Google Maps to find my way back to the YMCA 3-month shelter I'd been staying at due to domestic violence. I was not from around that area at all. I didnt know any phone numbers by heart. I didnt know how to go back home. I had JUST come from the Bridges pregnancy clinic nearby where they didn't have outlets and essentially guilt tripped me for saying "I don't think I'm ready to be a mother at all,", and, of course, I was hysterical. She told me to try the outlet outside that they used to plug in the ceiling lights for the outdoor seating. Again, I'm pregnant. 1.) I couldn't reach them. 2.) I didn't want to risk standing up on a wet metal chair in the rain and harm my baby. Went back in and asked to use the bar outlet right by the front door. Once again I was told no and probably would've threatened to call the police if I tried to stay and warm up for even 5 more minutes. I was unable to go back to the clinic for help as I had left right when they closed. I've tried two different gas stations that didn't have outlets or help me. Cafe Mimosa made me try their outdoor outlet which of course didn't work. Their store had also just closed for the day. Lady, you couldn't give me five minutes? I had my own charger with me. I had money when you said I had to buy a drink first. Then you essentially told me to get out when I said I'm pregnant and can't drink. You still said no when I asked if you could give me a soda or water instead and just ring it up like it's a beer. Even when I gave you my ID because you wanted to CONFIRM that I was over 21 to use an outlet for some weird reason. I managed to find a place with good souls that helped me... After 30 more minutes of wandering around in the rain. This experience worsened the depression that I didn't even know could get any worse than it already was. The final nail in the coffin was when I turned my phone back on just to find out I had been a 5 minute drive (20-25 minute walk) away from the shelter the entire time. I left Santa Rosa about two weeks ago. I left the entire state of California, flew back to my home state and never looked back. I am still saddened that I was treated this way. As a woman herself, that bartender should've had more empathy seeing someone clearly in distress like that. I got so scared that the stress from that day was going to make me miscarry. And I'm still traumatized. Thanks for reminding me why I lost my faith in humanity a long time ago. She really was acting like she was more inconvenienced than I was. It made me so sick I'm almost 6 months pregnant now. Baby is ok, and she's gonna be a girl.

While in Santa Rosa a friend and I stopped here to use ATM, had a glass of Chardonnay and a Jell-O Shot. The Jell-O shot was very flavor definitely order again. The bartener, Michelle was very friendly and attentive. Bar was very sports themed, had good rock music and a Pinball machine. I had the pleasure of playing several games. I would definitely stop by again in the future. Also, the have a large patio.

Maybe it's because I live in South Lake Tahoe now, or maybe it's because my first visit to 440 was a Fri. night at 1:00, but the music was BAD (ELO, Kansas... what year is this?!?) and the crowd was boring. Only saving grace for me was the nice, funny bartender. They do give $1 off your first drink if you check-in on FB. But warning: you have to sacrifice fun for that $1. Belvedere was WAY better...
