I was going to give them 4 stars but their service leaves a lot to be desired for. I ordered takeout from their website. First, taking 50 mins for a takeout order was surprising. I've lived in many cities and usually, it doesn't take more than 30 mins to get Desi food. Any way, it was also raining quite a bit, so I actually got there later than the 50 mins. I got in and you could see that there was no system. Two people were hovering around the counter. One server was working the tables and hovering around the counter. There was nobody as such to ask my order for. Then, when I told them what I'd ordered, they couldn't find it. I'm pretty sure that they did not realize you can also order through their website, so my order wasn't ready. The main person tried to cover it up by saying they're still working on it. But I could hear him call out the order when I told him what it was. Then, my bill had come to a total of $30. When he ran it at the counter, it was $32. Two bucks is not much in the grand scheme of money, but why would your website show one price and your teller another? And then, he asked me, where did you order this from (while looking at the order email from their website on my phone)? He looked very confused when I said it was from their website. Finally, I got everything sorted out and left but this whole service thing left a negative view in my mind.
The food itself was very good! I got a spicy kadhai mushroom which was spicy and delicious. The chilli chicken is the closest I've eaten to real indo-chinese food from home. So once I got over the chaos of the pickup, I did enjoy the food. But you guys need to buckle up with...
Read moreWhat a treat to the taste buds! We are vegetarian and here's what we ordered along with my star ratings and description. Veggie momos: 4** Why only four stars? This one item did not match the awesomeness of the others. The dough wrapping is a little thick and slightly dry. But otherwise the taste of the stuffing and the chutney are very good. Coconut soup:5* This soup is an absolute MUST TRY. Creamy, mildly spiced, soul and stomach nourishing! An order each of Kashmiri Lacha and Onion Kulcha: 5* The Kashmiri Lacha is almost a dessert bread, pillowy nans stuffed with a layer of fruits and nuts. The onion kulcha was also very good. You get four generous slices to an order. Malai Kofta: 4.5** I dinged it half a start only because it was a little too rich and creamy. We loved it though, smooth, mild and as I said, creamy! If you don't like it a little sweet, go for something else. General comments: Portions are generous, food is reasonably priced. We ordered for two people and ate heartily, but had leftovers to bring back. Ambience is nice. Booths and table seating available. We enjoyed sitting at the booth where you can either sit crisscross or comfortably stretch your legs out. Service was friendly and prompt. If you are in the area or passing by, definitely stop by...
Read moreWe’ve eaten out here at least five times. Always good, my favorite is the coconut lamb. Be warned, you might think very spicy is just a exaggeration but holy hell fire it’s so spicy you can barely eat it. My husband loves it spicy but he was crying from the heat! I get the medium spice and it’s the right amount of hotness that opens up your taste buds to let in the flavors. Chicken Tikka Marsala is flavorful , butter chicken and coconut lamb is a creamy, aromatic and delicious meal . The lamb was tender and not at all chewy. We get the garlic naan and it’s a very big portion. The cheese nan is pretty good but its a bit filling to dip in the sauce. I use mine like a taco to scoop up the meat and rice. Not sure if that’s how you eat it but that’s what I do. Also some great appetizers are the Samosas, they have a potato pea mix that is dipped in cilantro sauce. It has a kick to it though. But you can cool it with a sweet thick mango lassi. The chicken MoMos my kids loved. I remember in my past a friend from collage showed us how to make momos and every time I eat them today I think fondly of her, she was from Nepal. Anyways this is a great Nepalese Indian restaurant . Try it ! You won’t be...
