LISA! Wow where do I even start. So I decided to surprise my wife with a trip to wine country for our anniversary. Personally I'm not much of a wine drinker but Santa Rosa does have its perks. I mean Russian River brewing is right down the street. As I began to search for a hotel I came across Lisa. She was very informative and offered several tips along with things to do around town. So I decided Hotel E was the one. When we checked in for some odd reason our flight was early. The lady at the front desk told us our room wasn't ready but would be shortly. We decided to go walk around for a bit. When we returned and went up to our room we were surprised with a bottle of wine, charcuterie board, chocolates and balloons. Along with an itinerary for our winery tour the following day. We really couldn't believe how much Lisa went out of her way to make our special weekend that much better. The rest of the day we explored downtown Sana Rosa. Enjoyed a couple nice restaurants as well as a comedy show. The following day as we sat outside waiting for our tour guide. Guess who pulls up? Yup chauffeur Lisa at our service. Talk about wearing many hats. This lady does it all and with ease. So we arrived at Paradise Ridge winery which I highly suggest. The views of their vineyard and beautiful sculptures is a must see. Along with some great wine and appetizers. We stayed there for a bit and then proceeded to the next winery. Like your typical tour guide Lisa explained different things about the city she had grown to love after leaving Atlanta. You can tell she truly cares about giving her all and it shows. So if you're ever in the Santa Rosa area I'd definitely recommend staying at Hotel E and booking thru Lisa. She will go that extra mile to make...
Read moreSo my experience was not so great. I will start with the negative. The location is across the street from a park. This would be lovely if it weren’t for the homeless people there. I realize this hotel has no control over that but I think potential customers should know because this is why we chose to pay the $17.00 for valet. We didn’t want to experience a “smash and grab” as my car is new with only 8,000 miles on it. This is where the trouble began. The valet was professional and took our car to a parking lot that we were told had 24 hour security. When we picked up our car the next morning there was not a valet. The front desk was very busy and there were two other people waiting for cars. Someone from the front desk ran and grabbed the cars in order. When mine arrived it had a scratch (see picture) and because it is new and I washed it before the trip I am CERTAIN that it wasn’t there before. The manager came out, took pictures and said he would check the security cameras and get back to us on Monday 2/10/20. He did not. We were told that the spaces are large and no one else would have bumped my car. If you pay for a valet a valet should be available. I feel like this wouldn’t have happened if a stressed out front desk person wasn’t delivering the cars. Secondly, they advertise a workout facility but they do not have one yet. I packed workout clothes and was disappointed to not be able to work out. Third, they have a nice continental breakfast included but they didn’t advertise that. This being said the rooms are nice and clean and the staff was friendly. They also have a wonderful wine bar with a great selection of wine. If they had contacted me regarding my car I would have given...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I were flying out to San Francisco and decided instead of staying in the city we would stay in Santa Rosa as it is about 45-55 minutes from Napa Valley and San Francisco. I stumbled upon Hotel E and decided to take the risk of staying in a brand new hotel. From the friendliness of the staff to the beautiful rooms, Hotel E is definitely a place to stay! The rooms remind me of your own little bedroom, so it is very home like. The rooms were so clean and the bathroom has top notch lighting. The location is also beautiful! Hotel E is surrounded by shops and yummy restaurants! However, for the most part, most of the restaurants close by 9/10 pm. During our stay, the hotel had a wine night with charcuterie and although my boyfriend and I did not join, it looked delicious and I’m pretty sure we were told that this would be a regular event. As far as hotel fees go, there are not any hotel fees! The only thing you have to worry about is paying $17.50 daily for valet parking, however, after a certain time (I think it’s 8 pm) the parking meters are FREE until 10 am the next morning. So if you’ll be out for most of the day, you can definitely take advantage of that. The only day we paid for valet was during the Wednesday market they have right outside the hotel , which happens weekly. HUGE thank you to Bridget, Ginny, Joel, Jessie, Anais, Kevin and Charin for making our stay wonderful! Will definitely be back for the grand opening of your second building WITH a rooftop...
