My wife and I have been to Juanita‘s 8-10 times in the past year and we have been pleased every time. I am not going to rave about the food and claim it is the best Mexican food, but I am going to guarantee that the food is prepared with care and very tasty. We have eaten many different items and all are satisfying. The menu is phenomenal and I am not exaggerating…so many choices make it one of the finest you will ever see. The SALSA BAR is outstanding, offering many options. Quite deluxe! And, the breakfast is as good as anywhere and served all day,. They do serve beer and wine. The ambiance is like an old school diner and very clean. The atmosphere is welcoming. The family and staff are kind people who treat everyone as though they are the most important people there. Warm smiles are abundant. Best of all, the prices are more reasonable than every restaurant that is as good. SERIOUSLY!! In fact, we have been a little put off by the rising prices at most Mexican food establishments but that is not the case at Juanita’s. This place is a WINNER for SANTA ROSA. I am writing this because I’ve lived in Sonoma County for 48 years and the past 12 years in Santa Rosa and driven past JUANITAS many times, only discovering it to be a gem two years ago. If you’ve ever wondered whether or not to drop in but haven’t, do yourself a favor and enjoy a meal there. You will...
Read moreHow I can describe this place is, it is a simply nice Mexican restaurant. Food tastes authentic. They have good burritos, tacos, and flautas. Their horchata is very cinnamon flavored so depending on your preference it can be too much or just enough. I did like the ambiance of the place and the way they decorate. The customer service was okay. I had received a waitress that was a little rude. She was just quiet and straight to the point. I can say the environment felt homey which I liked. They have many options on the menu for all times of the day. A downside to that is it can make the menu harder to navigate. Sometimes there can be too many options. This restaurant is located near lots of activities and right by the traffic light. You have the Mendocino market place across the street, bus stops on either side of the road, and a Safeway gas station and chevron gas station on the corners of the traffic light. There is plenty of parking since it’s so public and the restaurant itself is wheelchair accessible. Overall this wasn’t a bad experience. I would come here again if I craved a...

Not nearly as enthusiastic about the food here as we were at first. The first two times we ate here, the food was great, but the last two times we ate here, it was really not very good at all. Clearly appears to be hit or miss. We’re going to try again because it’s close by and convenient, but it was disappointing the last two times.

Fantastic food! We got takeout here Saturday night and stuffed our faces! The decor is adorable too - I can’t wait to get back in and have a proper sit down meal.
We loved our burrito and tacos. Everything was well made. Although if I had to pick on something, the chorizo quesadilla was a little too greasy for us. But that’s being pretty picky. They are generous with their salsas as well, all of which are very well made. We got there very close to closing time - about ten minutes before - and were worried that the food might be rushed and the quality might suffer, but we worried for no reason! They treated us great and...
