Seeing Santa Rosa for the first time, I went to Yelp for some suggestions on restaurants. This Brew Pub came up with high Mark's and we'd agree. My hubby had the recommended pasta with Andouille sausage and shrimp with Garlic Bread and an IPA and I had the bartender's recommended BBQ burger. My hubby did not come up for air, he love the pasta. He shared it had great flavor, the combo was a great marriage of meat and seafood with a light and not overwhelming sauce. I was expecting your standard pub burger, but (without the smoked bacon mind you) the cheese was a smoked cheddar and a flavorful bbq sauce that wasn't too sweet and more savory as well as they advertise the beef is "green" fed with no hormones or added harsh grains. The beef was flavorful with the other items and grilled onions and thick cut fries. I had the Three sisters irish stout and salute to the wonderful flavor, we had 2nds of our beer. We sit at the bar more often as there is character and the bartender had a great attitude, respectful of everyone and communicated well when he needed to tend to each person when a rush ensued. There was a playoff game on therefore, the atmosphere was busy and cheerful. We would go back again for the entertaining atmosphere, pleasant staff and truly good food. A good hit or should I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've been coming here for many years and the food is always good. They have a great beer selection and a limited, but okay, wine selection. The menu has a variety of burgers, sandwiches, salads, a couple pasta dishes, pizzas, tacos, appetizers, and desserts.
Their Black & Bleu burger is very popular, my personal favorite is the sourdough burger, but I've tried many entrees and all have been good. Servings are ample and it's a good value.
The staff here is friendly and efficient, which is always appreciated!
Popular spot for folks to come to "hang out" with friends. A few televisions for games and such scattered about, not overbearing though.
There's a parking garage in the front and rear of the restaurant with inexpensive fares. Also, there is limited street parking available. It's an easy walk to forth street shops or the downtown mall.
The one draw back for me is the noise level on most evenings. It is LOUD! It makes it difficult to carry on a conversation and the wait staff can barely hear to take customers orders and requests. After an evening of dining with friends, you'll be hoarse from screaming over the noise.
We often have a good dinner there, then walk elsewhere nearby to enjoy a relaxing after dinner Coffee and dessert to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe staff at Third Street handled a tough situation tonight better than any bar staff I've ever had and I'm totally grateful for them.
Two guys, seemingly nonviolent, were bothering me and my friends while we were playing pool and ignored our several requests to leave us alone. Eventually we moved downstairs. Although frustrating, it was a comparitively minor incident and we didn't expect anything of the staff since there wasn't anything majorly disruptive happening.
Even so, three employees came up to us afterwards and very sincerely apologized. They offered us free drinks for the rest of the evening and said they were very unhappy that that kind of interaction happened in their brewery. It was the most seriously any staff has ever taken a situation like that and it's exactly what I think everywhere should be doing.
Because apparently while the staff was talking to us someone else was talking to the guys upstairs and things did turn a little violent. Somehow (and I could be wrong) a pool ball ended up being thrown over the balcony (no one and nothing was hurt), and the two men were escorted out immediately.
Thank you, Third Street Aleworks, for making me and my friends feel...
