If you enjoy a nice cold beer and sports or a glass of wine after a long day of work to relax your brain, Belly Left Coast Kitchen and Taproom is the place to be! As you can tell from their title “left coast,” they focus their menu and a greater part of their beers and wines towards the west coast like Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, and Hawaii. This is your casual, sit back, and watch tv sort of American restaurant. It has two sides to it. Both of of them have bars. I love the outdoor lights they hang around their sign as well as the general outdoor seating area. It makes the place look very inviting in the evening. It is located in downtown Santa Rosa next to plenty of other restaurants such as Asian, Peruvian, or French food. It is near the old courthouse square, Hotel E, and even the plaza mall. They have parking alongside the streets as well as two parking lots near the old courthouse square which you do pay the meter for. This restaurant is wheelchair accessible. They have 26 beers on tap, specialty cocktails and you can hire them for private events. They have a theme for each day of the week like wine Wednesday and taco Tuesday. As for the food I had the Surf and turf fish tacos and my friend, although I can’t remember the dish name and I don’t think it’s on the menu anymore, had some sort of pasta that was absolutely delicious. It had a kick of spice to it which I loved and I thought it added to the flavor. The picture will be down below. As for the tacos they were also very good although I think they added too much bacon. Other than that the green sauce on the side went well with it and I love the metal holder they have for the tacos. It really reduces the mess and overall has a better look to it. Our waiter was nice and let us take our time. I would recommend trying and I would give this place another chance myself!

Another great Restaurant Week find! We typically go to the same places that we like but love trying new restaurants with a great deal, such as Belly with their $29 3-course meal. At full portion sizes, there is no reason to not get the pork belly with brussels and potatoes. The artichoke appetizer was a full artichoke, easily shared among a few folks. Fish tacos were loaded and delicious. Bacon and mango salsa are two ingredients I would have never thought should go on fish tacos, but it was so good we left wondering how we haven't had this combination before! Pork belly was very tasty, although a bit too much sauce in my opinion. The chocolate mousse, our usual go-to dessert, was the most disappointing. Placed on an impressive display with delicious cream, the ramekin of mousse was not something we could eat more than a couple bites of because of the sourness and strong alcoholic taste. Fortunately, our friends really liked it, so this is a hit/miss. Pros: great for Restaurant Week dinner, good service, wide selection, live music on Saturday evenings Cons: restrooms are in the area that can be reserved for a private party so going to the restroom gets a little awkward when there's a private party going on

A Smash Hit at Belly Left Coast Kitchen & Taproom!

If you're in Santa Rosa and craving a truly exceptional burger experience, look no further than Belly Left Coast Kitchen & Taproom. This spot has quickly become a local favorite, and for good reason – especially if you're a fan of a perfectly executed smash burger.

I recently had the pleasure of trying their Double Smash Burger, and it was nothing short of phenomenal. From the first bite, you're hit with that incredible combination of crispy, caramelized edges on the patties, juicy, flavorful beef, and perfectly melted cheese. The brioche bun was soft yet sturdy enough to hold everything together, and the classic toppings (crisp lettuce, ripe tomato, tangy pickles, and their special sauce) complemented the rich meatiness without overpowering it. It's clear they use high-quality ingredients and pay attention to every detail, resulting in a burger that's both satisfyingly indulgent and incredibly well-balanced.

Beyond the burger, Belly Left Coast Kitchen & Taproom offers a fantastic atmosphere. It's lively yet comfortable, with a great selection of local craft beers on tap that pair perfectly with their menu. While the Double Smash Burger is a definite highlight, don't miss out on their 3 Hog Mac n Cheese – it's a rich, creamy, and incredibly flavorful dish that's a perfect comfort food indulgence. The service was friendly and efficient, adding to the overall positive experience.

Whether you're a burger connoisseur or just looking for a delicious and reliable meal in Santa Rosa, I wholeheartedly recommend giving Belly Left Coast Kitchen & Taproom a try. Their Double Smash Burger is a...

Food was decent. Service was not. Sitting for 10 minutes before staff came over with a menu. It took 30 minutes to get our food and when it came one of our meals was missing. When asked about our missing entree the waitress said she would go check on it (aka place the order) and came back and told us it would be a few minutes. At this time I asked her for a mixed drink however, they do not serve liquor so I told her I would take a look at the draft list. She did not come back to our table for 15 minutes to take my drink order but did manage to seat new guests, take their order, bring them drinks and take additional food orders at another table while bringing them additional drinks. I still didn't have food or a drink! I am filling up on water and taking bites from my wife's plate! Finally she returns to take my drink order at which point everyone else at my table is halfway through their meals. I asked for a couple of samples which I got 5 minutes later when she told me again my tacos would be up soon. 10 minutes after that I got my tacos and drink order. Everyone at my table is nearly done with their meals. We spoke to the manager who apologized and explained they were short staffed. I rebutted with an obvious lack of time management and prioritization by our server. We arrived here at 4:15 in the evening and left at 6. During this time I had the opportunity to drink 2 samples and one beer. The beer was great and I would have ordered more if I had the chance but our server was rarely seen at our table. Based on this night I can't see how anyone can get anywhere near 4 stars. I hope others have a more pleasant experience but I can't recommend...
