This is my go to taco shop. The staff is always friendly and inviting and have never gotten my order wrong. This is my wife's gold standard for shrimp burritos, she loves how their's is simple and consistent each and every time. The shrimp burrito is always filled with lots of plump juicy shrimp, in my wife's words the burrito is "wet and juicy." It's not covered in any type of sauce it's just juicy on the inside but, in a good way. I orded a pollo asada torta, three chicken rolled tacos, and a side order of fries. Yes that is a side order of fries and there were a lot of them! The torta- which you can see in my included picture- was filled with juicy, flavorful marinated and grilled chicken and topped with guacamole, beans, tomatoes, lettuce, and shredded cheese. The rolled tacos tasted fresh and were extra crunchy and super flavorful. The fries were hot, yoh could tell they were a freshly fried. They were kind of soggy but not too bad. I like my fries that way though.

This place is amazing but some of the workers don't do their job right. I will be calling tomorrow and make a very unpleasant complaint due to this. My wife just bought some carne asada fries like we always do, but this time we got some stale fries that we're sitting out maybe for 2-3 hours that they didn't even bother to try and reheat in the microwave. I started calling at about 10: 45 that's 15 minutes before they are closed and they just ignored my phone calls. We drove back to the restaurant and were there by 10: 53 and the place was closed and no one would show up. I get it people want to go home and all that because it is late but I am actually paying money for my food which is what is used for them to get paid so why am I getting stale fries when I'm paying for hot food. I have been coming to this place for years now and it always seems like this worker always had a problem. I have not ever placed a complaint because I always thought it was nothing but this time it's BS he needs to get a warning or something. Damn I have been coming here along time and most recently I was craving a carne asada burrito but with everything a vegetarian burrito comes with I know ironic so I figured I'd get a vegetarian burrito add carne asada I expected to pay a couple two three dollars more so at the speaker the guy says $13.02 ok no problem the burrito was $3 more then the regular vegetarian as expected for adding carne asada but as I roll up to the window the gentleman then tells me my total is $17 and change I said for a burrito he said yes that even he was shocked to find out that adding carne asada to a burrito that doesn't have it cost an extra $5 dollars I paid because it's not his fault he's not the owner but now I know and will probably never come here again there's many good taco shops in Santee to include Estrada's or Santanas where they will not gouge I get there's a shortage but your telling me a burrito cost $7 more to add carne asada is...
