Epic Wings — Restaurant in Santee

This place has the best wings around. With plenty of sauces to choose from, there's something for everyone. The menu is simple without being too restrictive. I like to get the 4 strip meal, for example, and they let you choose two different sauces (2 wings with each sauce). Speed of service is rather slow sometimes. Expect to wait about 15 minutes average (even if you're the only one there), and around 20 minutes during dinner. I've never been disappointed with the food, however, so I don't mind the extra wait. A few times the wings have been cold, but that's really not too bad of a track record since I've been going here once or twice a week for a few years now. They're always quick to reconcile the issue and bring out fresh wings. They do allow you to call in orders for pickup. It takes about 15 minutes and they're pretty consistent, so I've never had to wait around after I've arrived for a pickup order. It's a solid choice if you're in a hurry and don't want to eat there. The prices are reasonable. The single meal comes with 4/5/6 strips/boneless wings/traditional wings respectively, two breadsticks, and vegies (carrots and celery). My family and I visited the Santee location today and really enjoyed it. They were pretty busy for a weekday afternoon. We were helped fairly quickly and received excellent customer service from a cashier named Muhammad. He was friendly and very personable. The dining room was clean, the utensils/drink supplies were well stocked and patio area seemed well maintained. The wait for the food did not seem very long and everything came out steaming hot and tasted amazing. The woman that brought our food (didn't catch her name) was very nice and asked if she could get anything else for us. We ordered a chicken strip family pack, fries and a pizza and everything was delicious. The breadsticks were light, fluffy and garlicky. Even the ranch and blue cheese dips were good. We came in tonight and ordered 6 meals. We dined in, it was a busy night. We have been coming to this location for years but after tonight’s experience we won’t be going back. The young man who placed our order was very nice. When we got our order, the wings on a couple of the meals were cold to the touch, and one of those two meals had the wrong sauce. We brought the meals back up to the counter and Joshua told us he would remake the meals. When the remade meals came out, they were both wrong again. Both meals were supposed to be all drumsticks, and came out with wings and drumsticks. We brought it to Joshua’s attention when he delivered the meals and he told us it was our fault and he would not remake the orders. My son kept his incorrect meal because he was hungry but my husband asked for a refund.
