Earl of Sandwich is located inside the 76 gas station in Santee / El Cajon, offering hot and cold deli items. The staff was friendly and showed great customer service, even offering a free soda when they ran into a backlog of orders and a shortage of chopped romaine lettuce.
I ordered the Chicken Bacon Avocado Wrap ($10). It was a bit bland and packed with grilled chicken, bacon bits, romaine, and other vegetables. My main critique was that the wrap itself was a bit gummy—the tortilla seemed slightly soft and chewy.

The texture of the cold sandwich was soft and nicely toasted for the hot sandwich. Lots of meat filled the sandwiches. The foot long cold sandwich was huge and we saved half of it for another meal.    Read moreHeard it had opened, so I stopped in for some food, but was disappointed to find that this location doesn't offer the Cannonballs! sandwich or the Earl Grey Lemonade. I get why they may not have certain sandwiches due to the small size of the kitchen (it's inside a Circle K), but the Earl Grey Lemonade is a staple of this chain, and I was surprised not to see it available.
UPDATE: They added the Cannonballs! sandwich to their menu. Had one, and it was as good as I remembered from other locations. Still no Earl Grey...
