Panera Bread — Restaurant in Santee

They were off to a great start and than fell apart. This time I guess it was a different crew for sure. Steak sandwich this time had 3 tiny pieces of meat, my wife's chicken sandwich had almost no meat. Luckily we had some lunch meat in the fridge.. sucks for as expensive as they are. The little loaf of bread they give you, this time was torn without care all crappy and cold, hard. Just everything was just slapped together with no care and horrible portions on the sandwiches. The receipt said to call if your not happy... Well we tried, Google didn't have a number for the reciept but we found it. We called just to give the manager a heads up. We want them to succeed, we are happy they are here.. Well we tried calling a couple of times. When they finally did answer we were put on hold so long we hung up. Both times well over 10 mins last one had to be 15 or 20 minutes. I wasn't going to post a review but since we couldn't get a hold of them here I am. Train this crew, they are horrible. Fix the portions so they are consistent, answer the phone, package the food better! When I went to Yelp they were not in there yet. But omg the other ones near me are running about 2 stars!!! I grew up going to Panera a bunch for breakfast and looovvveee their souffles. I ordered on the app at ~8:30 ahead of arriving because I know the souffles tend to sell out and they don't make more even though breakfast is available until 10:30am. At the time of ordering there was 1 spinach bacon and 2 four cheese available, got one of each only to get to checkout and it says the spinach bacon sold out so I switched it to 2 four cheese souffles and quickly placed the order to presumably reserve them. When we arrived, my bag wasn't on the rapid pickup shelf and it wasn't on the monitor as "being prepared" or at all. I asked an employee and they had to ask the back about it only to come out and say that they have it ready but there is only one souffle available. You'd think they would set them aside as soon as they get an online order since I already paid. I appreciated that they offered to give us a sandwich instead. But when we went to eat the food we found that both the souffle and sandwich were ridiculously small!! They have definitely made the souffles smaller. $7 for about 4 bites!!! If you want to pay $$$$ for a couple bites of food then by all means,...

The service when I walked in today I felt welcomed, Courtney and Jersey greeted me, Courtney took my order and she was so kind to carry a conversation with me for I have been indoors for a week and haven't ate a thing and then the manager Kealoha came up to assist me and she was also so very kind. She made me feel seen and heard and addressed my needs and made me feel like a friend.. I truly appreciate her kindness for making me feel cared for and for treating me like a friend, being so kind and she let me know that regardless of what's going on in life that everything will be okay with balance.

Kealoha truly made my day and her staff Courtney and Jersey did as well for they all were so kind when I've been having a really rough past week. I definitely recommend this location! It was super clean and organized coming in, calm atmosphere and very kind people. The food was prepared well too, pleased with my portion and the soup !! It’s all I’ve ate in days so I’m super grateful for this place and team!
