Olive Garden Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Santee

I have to give Olive Garden a Five Star Rating For a Few Reasons. One being Really great Service, Usually depending on the waiter/waitress but, mostly have had great Experiences! Secondly, the All you can eat salads which my Lovely Punkin and myself Mostly always order plus her Bowel of soup, is super super, hard to beat, hands down! It's always cooked to perfection to thee perfect temperature, has exactly what we mii've in a salad and, is endless plus, the dressing is fantastic! Thirdly, their breadsticks are AMAZING! I do not think you'll find any better and, putting them with the Outstanding salads, Holy Smokes, Soooo Tasty And Such A Wonderful Explosion Of Stand Above All The Rest In Flavors In Your Mouth That, I Could Eat There 3 Times A Week, And Never Get Tired Of It! Fourthly, their Spaghetti and Lasagna, is really pretty darn great too! Now, I always order my Sketti, with meatballs and mushrooms, because I'm a Mushroom Lover And, They do not mind doing this so, it's my delight!😉😄 So, add lling aas thee love of my life is content and, my belly is full 'N' satisfied, we're Good! And, I must tell you that, the last 3 female waitresses we had in the Santee Restaurant, were absolutely Fantastic! My family and I are extremely disappointed on our Dinner service this past Friday. The special occasion was my mom's birthday. We came here because she loves Olive Garden but after the experience we had we will not be coming here again nor recommend it. Our party of 10 people were all equally dissatisfied with the service. Our waitress was in such a hurry from the moment we walked in. She went over our little one's heads to serve extremly HOT plates across the table, she went in front of our faces to serve the plates as well. Some of our food didn't have the items it came with. My Dad ordered the all you can eat and not once did she ask whether he wanted seconds. Towards the end I was putting our leftovers into a to go box and she proceeded to throw the other plate with food away. Not once did she ask us whether we needed anything or if everything was okay. We are very understanding of service people and understand they are quite busy these days with shortage of staff, HOWEVER this was NOT shortage of staff, this was LACK of respect and work ethic. We bad a huge Bundt cake 🎂 on the table to celebrate my Mom's birthday as we had before at this very specific Olive Garden for my birthday. Clearly we were there to celebrate something. Once we asked for the to go boxes she simply pointed to the table register that our check was ready and ran off not even a Bye 👋 ot do you need anything else. We still wanted drinks but she just left. No Birthday song, no dessert, NOTHING! Absolutely DISAPPOINTED, DISSATISFIED, and DISCUSTED! Have been here twice, seated with in a minute or two, had all you can eat soup,salad and bread sticks, everything was delicious and fresh! Yesterday we had lasagna fritta appetizer and all you can eat pasta, the Alfredo was perfect a great balance of cheese and not too much cream and the sausage was very good, then had the Chianti and meat sauce with meatball, it was very good also! The waitress had an endless smile and was very helpful, even marked our leftovers! Have made reservations for this Saturday for eight! In response to other postings on this page, to the whine lady, you do realize that it is against the law to give away free wine, that is why when tasting wine in Napa they charge you a small fee! When the wine is delivered to O.G. do you think they get it for free? You say they are snoody, I think it's you. To the person who thinks that the soup bowls are too big? So you would rather have 4 cups and send your server back and back again, you do know that they have to reorder every time you want more soup! By the way 4 cups of soup will equal the 2 bowls most of the time! To the health nut, if you feel that the food is to fattening, go to the tree huger restaurant down the street and order the bale of hay special of the day! The prices are very reasonable here $9.95 for all you can eat pasta, soup or salad and bread, go around the corner and a sub will cost you $7.00 or a burger, fries and small soda just under $7.00.
