Santana's Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Santee

The last time I went here was probably a week ago. I ordered adobada chips and I said to not add any sour cream. The first issue is that the guy taking orders could not understand what I was saying to him. I'm not trying to make fun of him because he didn't speak English well but if you're going to put somebody on the microphone to take orders then you should make sure that person can understand what people are saying to him. I said my order and then he repeated it back to me incorrectly three different times until I had to go to the window and say it there. I made it clear I didn't want sour cream and because I said it to him and he said it back to me I thought everything was fine but when I got home it had sour cream in it. It was late so I didn't go back to fix it but I'm not very happy about that situation. It has happened to me before and it is my fault for not rechecking the order but I figured since I said it's him so many times he would have gotten it right. I think that a person taking orders should be speaking English better and understanding it better as well because in Santee I don't see that many Spanish speakers. Ok I love Santanas, especially because they are open 24/7 so I’m going to write this specifically for night shift employees. The food is wonderful, but every single time I order something, they get my order wrong. I go through the drive thru and I’m either missing part of my order (they don’t charge me for it though they just don’t give it to me at all) or one time the woman asked me if I wanted red or green sauce, and I ask for green only. I open the dang bag and it’s all red LOL. I’ve ordered flan a couple of times and they didn’t put it in like 4-5 times. I’m not sure if they are punishing me for something but It’s literally every single time I order now, something is wrong with my order. Last night I ordered flan again and my boyfriend watched me sulk for about an hour because I realized I didn’t get my flan. I order the same thing Everytime, it seems on the weekends the cook skimps out on the food, I've noticed this compared to the weekdays.i will no longer eat there on the weekends because your getting ripped off they need to fire the weekend cook and get a real cook in there that gives you what you pay for. Well went here again i order the la paz burrito comes with shrimp and carne asada rice and cheese. I spent twenty dollars on this burrito had them ad extra carne with the hopes i would be able to taste it , got home took a bite had to search for the meat once again in a tortilla full of rice. Won't be wasting my money here anymore gave them plenty of chances, plenty of other shops out there that will give you what you actually pay for.Theres a shop in santee called sayulitas i recommend you try them huge burritos fully loaded with meat carne asada fries will feed five people for 20 bucks , thats all i have to say other than money is hard to come by spend it somewhere...
