I'm editing my review at this Braums from a 5 star to a no star if I could. This evening I ordered through door dash. I had troubles selecting my drinks through the app for my kids meals, I accidentally selected a regular combo. When I got my confirmation it showed that the items I selected came in a combo meal. It didn't ring up at kids meal, I also had modifications to my daughters hamburger. I called the store prior to the door dash person arriving to Braums. I called to let them know what other 2 drinks I wanted for my combos and that they were supposed to be kids meals and how to change that and what modifications to one of the burgers I had. The "manager" (sounded like an older woman) sounded very high strung and anxious as soon as she started talking. I very kindly started to explain what happened through the app, she cut me off half way through and kept repeating that she didn't know how the app worked and couldn't help me. After she kept talking over me I finally kindly let her know I was getting off the phone. Before we hung up she had said I could call up there if something was wrong with my order. Well of course there would be, I didn't get a chance to tell her my other two drinks nor did I get a chance to tell her about the mods on the the other burger. Door dash gets here and I check my order. Everything was fine except my two missing drinks and my daughters hamburger. I called up to the store again and talked to a different woman, told her what the deal was, I described my door dash guy and she recognized him. He was wearing a very red Budweiser logoed shirt. She put me on the phone with the same manager this time calling her a "senior manager". She then gets on the phone and kept telling me she couldn't help me with my drinks unless I had a paper receipt. The door dash person did not give me one but I do have the door dash receipt. She again was talking over me getting louder and louder. Telling me that door dash people are regular customers and it's on them and how she isn't helping me without a paper receipt even though the other lady with her remembers my door dash guy and can easily pull up my order with me telling her what it was. She kept saying I need to call the door dash guy back and have him go get me one. . I get the rules of a restuarant return in food. I work at a restuarant. I originally placed a call before hand to avoid this and it didn't get resolved then it escalated to both of us losing our tempers. OVER DRINKS, MODIFICATIONS AND MISCOMMUNICATION. I am ashamed for getting loud back. All I wanted is my damn drinks and correct burger for my child. I've worked in the restaurant industry for a long time now. I know this situation all too well and the "manager" on duty handled it poorly. For not properly knowing about door dash that the establishment she works for uses for 3rd party deliveries and for lacking empathy for this situation when I called before hand and tried to tell her what drinks I wanted and the modifications on my daughters hamburger. I hope this can be a learning experience across the board on not how to handle customers and to understand 3rd party delivery services and how to correct a problem before it arises. I probably won't be back and I definitely won't be using door dash again. And this seriously sucks because I love Braums. Even worked at one once in high school. It was awesome. Read moreI want to start off with, the ice cream was excellent here! The service was not the greatest. We were served by someone who seemed a little new or maybe just slower but that's not really what bothered me, the lady over her(who I actually thought was staring ME down seemingly like"what's your problem" look... but it turns out she was watching or overseeing the lady who was doing our order and ended up coming over to her and seemed a little frustrated with her when she wasn't much of a bother to me, she was having a little bit of a hard time making my ice cream cone "correctly" ONLY I guess... but she didn't struggle with any of our other items but I tried to make her feel a little better by telling her it looks great to me and that she didn't need to make my to scoop any bigger because right before her overseer came over, I actually was just about to tell her that's all that I wanted on top because I didn't want to get more than I can actually eat(even though she was going to make it bigger for me, when her overseer said "uh huh keep going" as in keep making it bigger it was literally already big just not perfectly round) cause I wasn't going to be able to eat it all anyways. She made an AWESOME looking banana split for my son so I was was fine with how she was doing even though it took her a little extra time on mine, the one over her kind of made the situation a little more stressful for her which is why I put a 4 star.
I understand wanting the best for the customer though but at the same time if the customer doesn't seem frustrated or bothered a more friendly and unfrustrated guidance from the overseer, for the new or maybe just slower worker that's struggling, seems more appropriate. Just a thought from the other side of things. We only got 3 ice cream double dip cones and one banana split and it was SO good!
Overall good experience though just a suggestion from what is observed on the other side of the counter. There was one other lady behind me in line who was very friendly while waiting and we were chit chatting so the extra push just didn't seem...
Read moreWent in to buy a gallon of milk and some ice cream /milkshakes with my family last night. We order a waffle cone with 2 scoops, and a large milkshakes, and small milkshakes, both vanilla. Our cone gets handed over with maybe have a scoop bc the young man is unable to scoop the ice cream with any strength. Same story with the milkshakes. He was unable to scoop the ice cream due to not being strong enough, then proceeds to fill our cups with milk and hot water, then makes another attempt at the ice cream, he manages maybe a half scoop at most for the large. Adds whip cream and blends. We pay and try to taste our milkshakes, taste like hot water and skim milk. After battling the flies and bugs for 20 minutes we get this garbage. We ask for replacements but get asked to step back in line lol. I get the mentally challenged need jobs but good night, please get some that are competent. It's not even worth going to this location anymore. The staff acts put out, small crowds overwhelm them, the young males who work there like to hide off in the back and compare muscles (no lie, please check camera footage from the past few nights in the evening. By the registers for the best view. I just wanted a simple milkshake but can't even get that. I wish I could have been refunded but the wait and battle with flies just wasn't worth it.
