Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers — Restaurant in Saraland

When we got there at around 8:30 PM being sure that it said that it was gonna be open till 10 they were already lining up stools, which I thought nothing of. we placed our order. we go to fill our drinks at the fountain and noticed that there are no napkins. Then we turn to get us some silverware basically just forks and they had none of that. We asked them for forks and there was not a fork to be found. we went to sit down and couldn't sit because every place was dirty. People were leaving and leaving their trash on their tables because the trash bins were overflowing. I got a napkin, wiped my table down, even though I was grossed out I sat down. When our number was called, it was supposed to be dine in and they put it in carry out ... Again, there was not a fork to be found even after asking. Sat down to eat and had to try to eat chili cheese fries without a fork. Then my fiancé opened up his chicken sandwich, which was the original chicken club sandwich and there was a hair in it. Totally gross and complete Health violation. I was so grossed out that I didn't even want to eat my food, but I pressed on even though my grilled chicken taste rubbery and made me feel sick. This place is a health code nightmare. They were telling customers that they were shutting down because it was 9 o'clock at night and they're supposed to be open to 10. There was trash everywhere, overflowing bins and numerous trays on the tables. Disgusting. I will never be back to the store. I am grossed out and I've been home for about 37 minutes when I write this and I feel sick as a dog. The health department needs to visit this restaurant...

I was driving back from leaving work during lunch and I wanted to try a place I haven’t been to before. Freddy’s is always a place that piqued my interest when I take the Saraland exit on 65. This time I decided to bite literally. Never having been there I didn’t know what to get. My first thought was to get classic double combo with fries. For some reason I changed my mind and chose the California double combo. That was a bold decision for me not knowing what “California” meant in this situation. Whatever it meant I pulled through the drive thru. I got my meal and went home. The first thing I noticed when I sat down to eat my food were the fries. They were thin and short. Not a problem at all but they did remind me of Steak and Shake. Is Freddy’s owned by same place? Anyway the fries were good especially accompanied with the fry sauce. I appreciate the cashier for offering it to me. I had no idea how much I would like this sauce. After a flurry of fries I tried the California double. I guess California meant jalapeños. I’m not a fan of jalapeños on my burger but that’s what I get for not inquiring about the burger. I finished the burger and although it had jalapeños it was a good burger. I won’t get the California again but I really did love the actual burger. The burger tasted and looked like a homemade burger. The kind of burger where one actually shapes the ground beef. Went to have dinner with our son and his friend. We arrived, placed our order. 54.00 ok well as long as it’s good… I can accept that. We love Freddy’s, been to many all over the USA and was sooo excited to have one in our town! Well we sit…. 10 min go by. Then a bus pulls up, high school cheerleaders. We think… thank goodness we already have food on the way. We listened, no numbers called. My husband could not get near the counter. We asked a young woman cleaning the tables if she could check? She goes back… and 5 min later returns and says “I am sorry y’all… but they said your gonna have to wait for them to finish with the bus” They weren’t even done with their orders! My husband got up, asked to see the manager? The very rude girl behind the counter said “ he is busy” then when we explained, she said “ I just heard one of your numbers, go get your food” we said we don’t want half the order. We need all of it. She rolled her eyes and asked us to move so she could take orders!!! My husband refused and said he wasn’t moving until he was taken care of. The manager finally came over. Told my husband the bus had placed their order two hours ago…. Yet they were all in line placing their orders??? He said they were the priority! My husband asked for a refund.
