Growing up in Japan and living in Hawaii, I know my way around ramen and poke very well. I chose this restaurant because it combined the two foods I loved from these places I’ve once called home.
I ordered the spicy miso ramen with pork belly (or char siu as we call it). The char siu was cooked perfectly! Loved the enoki mushroom and shiitake(?) mushroom in the ramen. My miso egg was cooked a little bit longer and only a touch away from a perfect miso egg.
I have to say I’m disappointed with the spicy miso broth. I don’t know if it’s due to it being a spicy version but it was overpowered by the sesame oil that I barely tasted the miso.
I hope to try the regular miso ramen next time to make my final judgment. But from my initial experience I felt the ramen was more of a fusion of Chinese food and Japanese food than authentic Japanese ramen. Speaking from 10 yr experience living in Japan.
The men/noodles was good! But it was sticking to each other and a little hard to eat. Still tasted great but took a little away from an enjoyable dining experience.
The staff was very nice and friendly. Although they didn’t inform us free water was available so we bought drinks. It was okay but I’m always for free drinks.
Vibe and atmosphere was hip and fun. Reminds me of certain places in Kakaako in Honolulu.
Can’t wait to go back and try their poke. Fingers crossed...

We go to Fushipoke often and always have a good experience. It’s fast, self-service style, perfect for when you want something good without a long wait. The tonkatsu ramen is a favorite for us, broth is thick and flavorful, we always enjoy the Pork belly, the poke bowls have lots of fresh options so you can build your own and baos (Shrimp and pork belly) are all very tasty and cook fresh.
The vibe is colorful and relaxed, with fun decorations, paper lanterns and pretty cherry blossom trees make the place feel fun and colorful. kids love playing the board games while waiting for the food. We also love the fresh lemon water and the little condiments area where you can grab whatever you need. They have a wall full of Asian snacks, candy, and drinks you can buy, the kids always find something fun to take home.
You order at the counter, and the staff (who are always super friendly, polite, and helpful) brings your food to your table when it’s ready. After you eat, you bus your own table, keeping the whole vibe casual and chill. They also offer different flavors of sake, which is a nice bonus if you’re in the mood for something extra.
Prices have gone up recently, but still worth it with the quality of the food, good service, and the convenient location. Definitely a good fast option for Ramen and Asian flavors in...
Read moreWhile visiting Sarasota my family and I stopped at FushiPoke&Ramen around dinner time. We didn’t not know what to expect, but since the place had really good reviews we decided to try it. The restaurant has a pleasant, modern and casual atmosphere. It wasn’t busy at the time of our arrival. We placed the order and the service person was really nice and friendly. We decided to try the spicy ramen with shrimp, miso ramen with chicken and one person tried the make your own bowl. When we received the food everything looked fresh and delicious. The ingredients were fresh, however I and few other people in the group personally did not like the broth in the ramen bowl. Everything else was really good. It just wasn’t my kind of taste. The person who tried the “ make your own bowl” said it was really delicious. Besides ramen, make your own bowls they also offer few other things on the menu. A large assortment of soft and alcoholic beverages are available for sale as well. Prices were reasonable for the size of the dish. There were few tables available for dining inside. Restrooms are available inside, and were really clean. The other positive thing, which I liked is the restaurant used reusable and recycled dishes...
