I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sunnyside, a charming restaurant that offers a wide array of breakfast and lunch options. Our experience was delightful from start to finish. I opted for the Chicken Basil Mozzarella and Tomato Panini, and it was simply delicious. The panini was warm and perfectly toasted, with juicy and tender chicken that melded beautifully with the fresh basil and mozzarella. It was served with a side of fries that were crisp and satisfying. My wife, who is vegetarian, chose the two eggs with grilled tofu, accompanied by a side of toast and a potato pancake. She thoroughly enjoyed her meal. The eggs were cooked to perfection, and the grilled tofu was a fantastic protein alternative. The highlight for both of us was the potato pancake, a delicious option we had never tried before. It was very similar to a hash brown, but with an extra layer of flavor and texture that made it stand out. Overall, our meal at Sunnyside was fantastic. The diverse menu caters to all tastes, and the food quality is excellent. We left feeling satisfied and eager to return to explore more of their offerings. Sunnyside is a must-visit for anyone looking for a hearty and delicious breakfast or lunch.

DO NOT GO HERE! Ava or Eva, the manager, is the RUDEST person I have ever met. Worst experience at any restaurant I have ever had. The wait time was reasonable. Our drinks came slowly but that’s fine. They offer sides on their breakfast menu but apparently you cannot order only sides because they have zero clue how to enter that in their system….then why offer them???? My friend was forced to order a full meal when all she wanted was 2 side items (1 egg and hash cakes or whatever they are called). I politely asked to order a to-go order (after our food arrived) and was yelled at by Ava, the manager!!, who says NO TO GO ORDERS! We have to serve all the paying people here first! I replied, I am sitting PAYING right here. You mean I cannot take food home to my husband?! That is asinine!! I get you are busy but I am spending $ while trying to spend more! I witnessed Ava also rip the clipboard out of someone’s hand near the front door because they were putting their name on the wait list and she rudely says that’s for ME to do! If you are not there and there is a table with a clipboard sitting on it….what else do you think is supposed to happen?! They only have like 10 tables in the entire restaurant! My omelet only had 4 small pieced of bacon and they were RAW plus the peppers were under cooked and way too many of them only in a folded flat egg, not really an omelet. If you have gotten this far reading, I promise I am NOT hard to please, it truly was an awful experience. No manager should ever yell at their customers.

I just left this place with my neighbors and we are all completely blown away by how amazing everything was! This place is crazy good! Who would have thought this place would be so incredible. It sits on 41 in Sarasota just south of the airport on the east side of the road in front of this kinda shady looking apartment complex and it is totally and completely unassuming. When we pulled up I definitely thought it was going to be a nightmare, but it turned out to be one of the most amazing cafe's I have eaten at in this area. I am quite the foodie and have pretty high expectations and standards when it comes to food. They definitely met and exceeded any and all expectations I had. I ordered the Seared Tuna and Spinach Salad with grilled asparagus, pineapple, strawberries, beets and goat cheese with a raspberry dressing. Sooooooooo yummy! Ryan ordered the Sunnyside Eggs Benedict with a Potato Pancake and Erin had the French Toast. All three of us cleared our plates and we were seriously contemplating ordering more!!! I highly recommend this place!!!

The food is VERY good! And they even have gluten free toast, so yay them. I would’ve preferred chopped vegetables on my omelette but it was delicious nonetheless. everything else leaves much to be desired. The wait times are quite extensive to be seated. The venue is small and can maybe seat 30 ppl on the inside. However, while you wait There’s nowhere to sit or stand really so you stand in the Florida sun or wait in the car and come back and forth to check on your place in line. there’s one cook. We arrived at 12:25ish on a Saturday, we were seated at 1:15ish, our food didn’t arrive until 1:56. The refilled water was served at room temperature, not an ice cube in sight, yes you can ask for it so simply stating facts here. No one came to check to on us in the 40 minutes we were waiting on our food to give us an update, apologize for the wait, none of the typical customer service best practices when the service is slow. Again the food is good. So do with this information what you will.

I was skeptical of this restaurant, but I'm definitely glad I gave it a chance. It's a mix of a family atmosphere fine dine and great hospitality! I ordered calamari as an appetizer which was absolutely amazing and cooked to perfection! As for my entree, I ordered the recommended rack of lamb with twice baked potatoes and asparagus by my waitres/bartender ( Kate) ! She was a by far one of the most upbeat and through waitress I've had in a long time. She k ew the menu, portion size and expressed what her favorite dishes were! She was definitely a busy beaver! She never once slowed down! Bounced from tavle to table making sure everyone was happy, taken care of and git what they needed! There isn't much seating room but is good a hey can focus on their tables and customers! I will be definitely returning, hopefully to try either their breakfast or lunch menu! She cleans as she goes and doesn't let people sit waiting or leave clutter anywhere!

Fresh squeezed orange juice, tender juicy steak, eggs the way you like them, and overall pleasant atmosphere. This small restaurant off the side of the highway can be easily skipped for people not paying attention, but once you know it's here, you will never forget it. With its pleasant atmosphere and good food. I highly recommend their fresh squeezed orange juice, and we are talking fresh squeezed orange juice not bottled garbage. Interesting to look at despite it being right next to the highway, and interior looks very chic along with a modern twist. The steak and eggs for the breakfast is definitely a go-to on their menu. The steak and eggs for the breakfast is definitely a go-to on their menu. The only thing that I would really have liked more, is that they could tell me where they got their awesome steak knives LOL.
