If I could I would give this place a negative 50 star rating and I am still contemplating calling the health department. I went for breakfast with my friend this morning. Had the worst restaurant experience in my life. We were seated at a table and we were dripped on by condensation falling from the ceiling. We asked to be moved. Waitress moved us to another table and I started to sit down and noticed one of the chairs had a puddle on it from the ceiling dripping. I sat down in a dry chair. Waitress came over and took our drink order, and promptly returned with our drinks. We waited and waited to have our order taken. We finally flagged down the waitress. She came and took our order. I ordered a hamburger done medium well and my friend ordered an omelet. The food took well over a half an hour, more like 45 minutes before it arrived. We had to ask another waitress when we might get our food. She said it was coming up. We were served our food and we never saw the original waitress again. My hamburger was raw on the inside and the fries were so greasy I could not eat them. I waited for the waitress to check on us but, no sign of our waitress. I had to get up and go to the front counter to get a different waitress to come to the table. Showed her my raw hamburger and soggy fries. I told her to take it away, it was not eatable. I expected someone, anyone to come apologize and ask if I wanted something else, but nope. I flagged down another waitress and asked if I could have some toast. My original waitress brought the toast but never asked about my food that was now gone and probably in the trash somewhere. I ate my toast and my friend finished her omelet. And now we begin the wait for our check. We waited and waited. We had to flag down the original waitress to signal her that we wanted our check. She came to the table and asked if I wanted more iced tea, I said no but asked if she could get the manager. The manager came and I motioned for her to sit down. She said she couldn’t because the chair had a puddle in it from the ceiling dripping. I explained my entire experience to her, water dripping everywhere, waitress totally ignoring us and the raw burger and soggy fries. She mumbled something about new staff and walked away. Next thing I know the original waitress came to the table and said angrily “I asked you three times if you needed anything”. Obviously the manager had spoken to her. I was very surprised the manager allowed her to confront us. I replied “No you did not.” When she wanted to argue more but I simply pointed to my glass and said “this glass has two big chunks broken out of the rim. She walked away taking my broken glass with her. She then came back with the check and said that I was not charged for my food. My friend looked at the bill that had been handed to her and they had charged her for my iced tea. Unbelievable! Dripping ceiling, totally absent and rude waitress, broken drinking glass, raw food, no apology and charging the wrong person for the wrong order. I will never go back and will tell everyone I come in contact with to stay away...
Read moreThough we had been there once some time ago, this time they were very disrespectful and rude. We ordered an omelette as described in the menu but when it was served it had jalapeño. The mistake was theirs, I cannot eat jalapeño; it wasn’t described in the menu, they should have described it in the menu. The pancakes were hard, toasted on the bottom. We clearly and respectfully asked twice that they prepare another without the jalapeño. We waited very long while waiter completely ignored our petition. When he came back to the table he said that we had told him we didn’t want it, taking us for a ride. They would stare at us, laugh and make comments. After making us wait so long the waiter explained that the jalapeño was in the mix they prepare; but that was not explained in the menu and it was so very disrespectful, rude and embarrassing not to mention the disappointment. We drove one hour to have breakfast there. The chef was clearly very rude and very upset. The manager never came to the table to excuse herself for the situation. We weren’t trying to be difficult customers we were just trying to enjoy a nice breakfast that they didn’t serve correctly. Sadly that’s the way the world and business are ALL ABOUT MONEY not about service. They urgently NEED to learn about how to treat customers. My husband and I have a family business of over 30+ years and we’ve survived and been preferred by our customers because of the service provide and treated with respect. We deal with large companies and pharmaceuticals and also individuals and we treat ALL of them very respectfully; sometimes we’ve had to even lose to make sure our customers are happy and satisfied; when a supplier doesn’t honor a warranty we’ve taken it upon ourselves to cover and protect our customers. Sometimes when you choose to loose a little, which in reality you’re not really loosing, when lose a little you win, you gain. Simply said that’s the way it works! I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. We usually have friends and family that we enjoy taking to different breakfast places, CLEARLY this is NOT...
Read moreVery rarely do I ever write reviews let alone a negative review as I am a huge supporter of small businesses and work for two myself. However, my experience here was so unusually unpleasant that l I needed to share. The ambiance of the restaurant is adorable, the food is delicious and it is clear the chefs work hard, and the wait staff was very sweet. What made the whole experience extremely unpleasant was the treatment by who appeared to be the manager of the restaurant. Prior to writing my own review, I saw another 1 star review who spoke of the same thing - the inappropriate treatment of the manager towards my friends and I for asking for to-go containers. After ordering our food, we realized we were cutting it close to make our flights and so we would need to eat some of it on the go. We thought we would save the hassle and have the food wrapped proactively. As we sat there taking a few bites, we overheard the manager yell “that’s a waste of money” twice and then she came over and rudely asked in a condescending manner, “May I ask why you’re taking your food to to?” I explained that we had flights to catch and we worried about the time. For the remainder of our time there, she stood close by glaring at us and made the whole experience extremely unpleasant. Completely rude treatment from a manager seeing as we were still paying for our meals. She needs a reality check and should reassess her treatment towards customers while also remembering that since her restaurant is so close to the airport, she should be accommodating to travelers. My friends and I felt sorry for our sweet server and the rest of the staff who...
