Heard a lot about the Village Baker, so were very excited when got the chance to go to the soft opening of their brand new branch in Saratoga Springs. The store was easy to find as it was accessible from the main road. Once we entered the store, the modern interior design and plentiful windows made the sitting area feel very spacious and welcoming. Also the staff were very attentive and accommodating to make us feel comfortable. We got to try their Turkey sandwich with both the sourdough & white bread, and Roast Beef sandwich with white bread. Both breads were super delicious! But have to admit that I was surprised to see the sizes of the sandwiches…they can be very easily shared with a friend. I heard their artichoke pizza is very good, so I’ll go back again and try that with soup.

Food took 27 minutes to come out and really was not impressed for the price. $53 for four people, one kids entree, one bread soup bowl, and two sandwiches. The bread bowl comes packaged and you have to pour the soup from a paper bowl into a packaged bread bowl and eat with a plastic spoon (broke twice while eating). The sandwiches were nothing special, would probably try other places in the area before coming back here. I typically leave positive reviews but the service, food, and quality of the overall experience was lacking to say the least. A sandwich from Jimmy John’s is far better in my opinion, which is unfortunate.

Cinnamon and raspberry rolls were Delicious! Perfect ratio of filling and frosting to bread! Perfectly balanced. The bread was light, moist and had the perfect texture. The Cinnamon filling wasn't over powering and the raspberry filling, just wow. 😋 The frosting was perfect and not overly sweet. Like all good conosiours I had to eat the centers to best judge the quality but shared the outside which was just as well loved. Highly recommend and excited to try more items from this location. Love on plate 🍽 Thank you Carl!

I have been to this location multiple times and I thought it was time to do a review.

1-the food. I walk in determined to try different things on the menu but I go back to the tuna sandwich each time. It is so good. So well seasoned. Not at all fishy. I get a half tuna on white with lettuce, tomato, and pickle. Always the pickle. While I make a killer tuna at home, this is the best tuna sandwich I’ve ever had out of a commercial kitchen. It’s actually better than my mom’s tuna.

My husband tries all the different things and today he got egg salad on rye. He was impressed as well. His only complaint was the filling smooshed out the back of the sandwich when you take a bite. If that’s the only complaint you get you’re doing something right.

2-physical environment. Clean restaurant. Clean bathroom. Lots of seating. Lots of groups of people chatting away after the food is finished. Definitely a come visit and eat type of place. Which means laughter and warmth. It’s good.

3-employees. They are all so so nice and welcoming and sweet and helpful. The general manager of this store has done a fantastic job gathering people who support the friendly, welcoming sense of home. Also, the older gentleman who was interacting with the guests and checking on everyone is a sheer delight. I felt so welcome and watched over with him walking the dining room. Kinda...

I usually try to stay with the positive on reviews but this visit was completely unacceptable. I pulled up to the drive through with one single SUV at the window in front of me . I placed a order for 1 single sandwich and pulled up behind the SUV. Cars then pulled up behind me. After waiting for honestly 15 minutes I was ready to just leave but I couldn't get out because of the multiple cars behind me and the one In front of me at the window. A honest 6 minutes more passed before the SUV at the window received there order and pulled away. I then pulled up to the window and the gentleman said he was sorry about the wait. I politely stated that a wait would be like 10 minutes. 21 minutes at a drive thru with one single SUV in front of me is due more than just a sorry. He stated he again was sorry for the wait and wished me a good evening. Lack of planning on my part. Next time I go to any drive through I will definitely not anticipate timely service. I guess it's just the days we live in now. Peanut butter and jelly from...

My husband and I went here to dinner for the first time a few evenings ago. We each ordered a half sandwich and cup of soup + drink. (Probably about $12-15 each). I ordered egg salad on honey wheat bread & chicken noodle soup. My husband ordered a meat & cheese sandwich (forget which kind) on honey wheat bread & the broccoli and cheese soup. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals; my husband kept raving about the broccoli and cheese soup & I couldn’t stop gushing about the bread of our sandwiches!!! lol! I mean, the egg salad was yummy, the chicken noodle soup was all comfort & cozy, but the bread! Seriously, it was cut nice and thick, & took me straight back to having my mom taking fresh homemade bread out of the oven as a little girl. In my opinion, it was the star of the show! lol!! We enjoyed a dessert - tried out the raspberry bun (very sweet and delicious), but I keep thinking about...
