I recently had a deeply disappointing experience at OD CRAB that I feel compelled to share. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was unwelcoming. The food quality was subpar; I ended up being served fish that tasted questionable at best. It was clear that the kitchen wasn't up to standard, which is alarming for any dining establishment.
What truly soured my visit was the customer service. The staff were not only inattentive but also rude. I found myself ignored for long stretches at my table, while other patrons were given prompt attention. When I finally addressed my concerns, the employees responded dismissively, as if my presence was an inconvenience.
To make matters worse, as I was leaving, I felt followed by a couple of staff members who were whispering and laughing among themselves. It was both uncomfortable and unprofessional. They even had the audacity to refuse service to me on my next visit, claiming that I always had issues whenever I came in—completely disregarding my past experiences.
Additionally, the turnover rate among the employees is alarming. Every time I visit, I notice new faces, which speaks volumes about the management and work environment. I overheard one of the managers cursing at their staff, which is not only disrespectful but indicative of a toxic workplace culture.
Overall, my experiences at OD CRAB have been consistently negative. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a pleasant dining experience. There are far better options out there where you can enjoy good food and...
Read moreWe stopped at this restaurant while in town for a baby shower. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anybody. We were a party of six who ordered several appetizers prior to our main meal. One of the things ordered was six raw oysters. The server brought them to the table and my two sons each grabbed one to eat. Simultaneously, they both spit the oysters out into a napkin, and said there is something rancid about the taste of the oyster...not the end of the world, we just let the waitress know they were no good. Here is where it went south… Our waitress went and spoke with somebody and came back and said the best we could do is give you half off of the oysters. I said half off of something that wasn't edible? They are spoiled! Why would I pay anything for Spoiled seafood that was not edible. She responded that it was because they had eaten two of them. How would I know that they're not spoiled if we don't taste them ? They were both spit into a napkin, and I even offered her the napkins as ridiculous as that sounds. She shrugged and said "that's the best I can do".
We were a party of six with an order over $300 and they acted as if we were trying to get one over on them over eating two oysters. That is such poor customer service. They served spoiled seafood, and then "did us a favor" by only making us pay half price for...
Read moreHorrible dining experience. The food was wonderful but the experience was destroyed by the horrible customer service. Our group of 9 (7 individual checks) arrived and for the majority of our 2 hours there we we're the only occupied table plus a few patrons at the bar. It took 20 minutes to get silverware, another 20 minutes to get a drink refill and even then it was warm tea with no ice, waited almost 30 minutes for a to-go bag that never arrived and when we finally received our checks there was a 35% gratuity added to each one, every check had an extra dozen oysters added even for thos who didn't order or eat oysters, the manager on duty had a horrible attitude, took 3 different attempts to get the checks even close to right which never did quite happen, and the manager continued to argue about an automatic 18% gratuity being required even with the horrible service provided but our checks were 35%. Im all for gratuity but there should be a bare minimum requirement of service. If you do choose to eat here, make sure to review your check before paying because there is no telling how mucn extra they make overcharging orders. If their service matched their food it would be a great place and you'd think that no busier than they were the service...
