Helping a friend move to the area. This place was recommended. If you have a few hours it would be OK. Positive- food. Negative- long wait, appearance of lack of efficiency. We were a party of 4. Were told it would be 1/2 hour in spite of a few tables (seating 4) were empty. Sat in bar area, with two other tables thst were eating food with drinks, with an occasional wait staff attending to these tables. We assumed we would be waited on. We assumed wrong. We were not even acknowledged. 20 minutes later we were notified out table was ready, happended to be one of the tables that was empty when we walked in. Waitress came over quickly and took our drink order. We noticed the floor was very bouncy. Being near the kitchen there was a lot of foot traffic that kept us bouncing. Drinks came in good time but my glass was filthy. Had to get it replaced. On that note, the "silver ware' was of very poor, lowest quality. Probably left over from an old diner. If you want to dine here I recommend you get here before 6 PM as they had run out of several items on the menu to include sour cream for the baked potatoes. On a positive note, the food was very good. My shrimp scampi came with an abundance of large shrimp. The others in my group said their meals were very good. While the food was very good, I would hesitate to return. My friend will be exploring other options before...
Read moreThe worst Italian restaurant I've ever been to. The restaurant is American Italian cuisine. Upon the first glance the restaurant is clean, and elegant. lighting is good inside give a pleasant peaceful vibe. The music choice is poor, rock and pop songs, don't generally go well for a elegant dinner. The appetizers salad was made up of just iceberg lettuce, carrots, and red onions, which was soggy and quite watery. Iceberg lettuce shouldn't be the only thing in a salad. The garlic bread they brought out was good. Our waitress noticed that we were not eating our nasty salads, and took away our dishes after asking. We figure she just knows that their salad is nasty. I ordered lasagna, so did one of my other companions. And the other got gnocchi. The sauce is the main part of a good Italian restaurant. Sadly the sauce was awful. It tasted worst than a jar of the popular sauce brand "Ragu". And the gnocchi was undercooked, making it very doughy. The meat in the lasgana and the gnocchi meat ball had no flavor except from what was absorbed from the sauce. Which made the meat nasty too. The pasta for the lasagna was over cooked Making it hard. Overall it was a disappointing experiance to say the least and we definitely will not be returning. Do...
Read moreThe salad and garlic bread were pretty sad. Bagged iceberg and a loaf of bread with no real flavor or character. Everyone agreed the pasta dishes were very salty and also lacked flavor. Just no soul... The atmosphere was similar, very much felt like a hotel banquet hall. Lots of wasted space in the floor plan that just made it seem like the atmosphere and table arrangements was an afterthought. The service was good, we were seated quickly and the server was knowledgeable and friendly, she stayed on top of drinks and checked in regularly.
Overall, it feels like many other restaurants in the Valley, trying to be everything but doing nothing well. If it's Italian, you don't need a cheeseburger or wings on your menu. Your portions don't need to be enormous. Cut back on the options and the sizes and just do a few...
