Harbor Fish Market Scarborough — Restaurant in Scarborough

Bought two cooked lobsters yesterday from here. The store advertised them as 1 to 1 1/4lb for $11.99. When I got home I decided to weigh them out of curiosity. The larger one didn’t even weigh 0.9lb. I already disassembled the smaller one so not pictured, but it weighed at under 0.8lb!

I am shocked by all the great reviews for this place as no one has mentioned how dishonest they are to their customers! I trusted the lady picking out my lobster as I thought she was probably choosing fresh ones, but thinking back she was probably picking smaller ones seeing we were out of town tourists and didn’t know any better!

Better make them weigh the lobsters in front of you to keep them...

I worked at Harbor Fish Market as a teenager, and I continue to shop there as an adult. The Alfiero’s are such an incredibly kind, generous, honest, giving family. And I consider them to be some of the best people I know.

It’s hard, cold, wet work, but to this day, I still consider it to be one of the best places I’ve ever worked because of the Alfiero’s. That says a lot!

This location, much like the other, has a great selection of seafood and the quality is outstanding.

I gave it three stars for its very tight parking and difficult entrance. The parking lot entrance has an island separating the entrance-exiting sides which makes it narrow to maneuver. Add the heavy Rt.1 Scarborough traffic...ugh. Too bad, I pass by it every afternoon after work. Just can't deal with...
