Great find in the Chicago suburbs. Nice food, great flavor potential. We went for a group dinner after a hard day of participating at a tournament. This was a nice place bc they had food that catered to some of our teammates that are vegetarian. They loved their baba ganoush, hummus, and falafels. My boyfriend ordered the lamb shank, which was OMG, friggin melt in your mouth soft and delicious. It came with plenty of rice as well as an au jus of some sort. I think I ordered the Lamb and Kofta Plate. Again, very generous portions with the rice, came with a salad as well. Overall, it was fine, but I wouldn't say it's my favorite Mediterranean place I've ever had. The lamb pieces were just on the edge of almost burnt, but not there yet, but they were busy preparing food for the 10-12 of us. Sadly, I was so hungry, I forgot to take a pic of that, lol. The service was pretty good, and they were very nice and accommodating for our party size. The employees were very polite and nice. I'd definitely wanna try and get that lamb shank next time I go there, or their veggie plate. Thanks for feeding us. Hope to be back again. :)

Clean, simple, unassuming and absolutely delicious food! I have nothing to compare it with but I know food and theirs is really good. We had the baba ganush for starters. It was very seasoned well, citrusy, creamy and just a delight. Paired with their flat bread, it was the perfect start to a great dinner. My husband had the Lamb Mandhi and the meat was falling off its bone. Its was seasoned very well but the garlic sauce elecated that dish even more. I couldnt decide what i wanted so i got the mixed platter on basmati rice. It came with pork kabob, grilled chicken and beef. I also paired it with the garlic sauce and that was just beautiful! Unlike other mediterranean dishes weve tried, theirs was not overwhelmed in spice. They were able to very subtly marry their spices with their meats. They offered us hot sauce separately and i thought that was very considerate. We ended the meal with slices of baklava and some indian tea with milk. This was a great dinner and we will come back to try their other dishes! 5 star!

Ali baba kabab is a Persian Mediterranean restaurant located in a strip mall directly behind a lighting store and kitty corner to a Taco Bell. There’s plenty of parking out front. You order your food at the counter and then sit down and they bring it out to your table. All meat prepared is halal. Good quality, fresh, hot and delicious. Our food came out quickly and we started with falafel then worked our way to the lamb shank platter and the combo chicken kabob and beef sharwma platter. The generous lamb shank meat fell off the bone and melted in our mouths! The seasoned basmati rice was both aromatic and tasted exotic! It was served with a refreshing salad that was a nice mix in between bites of meat. The chicken kabab and sharwma platter was very good served with 2 sauces; 1 hot and 1 creamy garlic. Both were great accompaniments to this combo of meats. Definitely coming back for lamb shank and also trying other entree items!

It was my first time getting food from this place. I had placed a grub hub delivery order for a chicken kabob platter, beef shawarma platter, and a falafel appetizer. My order had arrived and the driver had already left before my wife and I realized the beef shawarma platter was missing... My wife promptly called the restaurant to inform them of the missing item. She was told by a lady on the other end of the line that the chef was certain he had made the platter in question, but nevertheless we could come by the restaurant in person to pick up a replacement platter at no cost (except fuel cost--completely defeating the purpose of delivery, oh well I'm hungry~). Mildly upset, I 'fast traveled' to the restaurant and picked up the replacement platter. The nice owners and I exchanged words to try and figure out how the situation could have happened. Long story short, we just ended up confused. I expressed my gratitude and went home.

I got home and proceeded to shove a fork-full of the beef shawarma platter into my mouth...

D-Dear Lord!!! This is &@_@$ fantastic! What an amazing find!

Instantly the madness subsided. I would happily get food from this place again! ...
