I've been putting off leaving this review because I love the food but my last experience was unacceptable. The sushi is here is great, price it reasonable for AYCE and the service is relatively exceptional. It can get pretty busy around dinner time. So here's my experience. My sister took me here to the place for my birthday earlier this month. It was fantastic. Had a wonderful experience. So much so that I went back 1 week later. This second time around I started to feel a little sick toward the end of my meal like I was going to vomit. We had already received the check which had a QR code at the bottom to scan and pay. Since I wasn't feeling well and my partner was on a business call I decided to step outside and scan the QR code to pay. When I tell you the waitress and manager chased me outside I am not joking. I hadn't even stepped off of the side walk. They were telling me to come inside to pay. I told them I wasn't feeling well and I was in the process of paying online. They were insisting I come back inside but I declined. As soon as I process my payment and see that the payment was accepted I turned to head toward my car. AGAIN the manager steps out yelling at me that I cancelled my payment and I needed to come back inside. Mind you I'm looking at the receipt on my phone that says my payment was accepted. The manager is telling me to come look at her computer because it says the payment was cancelled. I show her the receipt on my phone as well as my bank account that shows the money was taken. She proceeds to tell me I cannot leave until I come inside and pay. I'm frustrated and do not feel well and just want to go to my car. But instead I sit on the brick wall and tell her I don't feel good and won't be going back inside. I told her I would wait until the money comes back to my account but I'm not paying again until then. She then STANDS WITH THE DOOR OPEN, STARING AT ME LIKE IM TRYING TO DINE AND DASH. I was so pissed I told her she did not need to stand there and watch me and make me feel like a thief and that if I wanted to leave without paying I would have already left but nope she still just stood there saying I'm not the first person who had done this but I'm like done what???? Smh made me feel like a criminal and I was not in the mood. I started feeling worse and my partner was finally off of her phone call so she went inside to take care of the bill and we left. There was no real apology from the staff for the way we were treated. It was embarrassing to say the least. As good as the food is I will not be returning. Maybe don't give the option to scan and pay if you're going to treat people like thieves when they are using that...
Read moreYesterday my son and I went to this restaurant. It was recommended from friend of our because we wanted to spend good time together and to celebrate his achievement in school (he was awarded with the title "student of the month") but that was our first and last time there. The food is fine but the service is awful. First came the hostess and ask us how old is my son. I told her he is 10 but two minutes later the waiter came to check if we are not lieing and ask again my son how old is he (because the price for children over 10 is different). The waiter looks kind of annoyed because we didn't ordered drinks (only water). My son push himself to eat everything that we ordered because in the menu was written: " if you dont eat everything that you order you will pay it". I ask him not to do it and it's not a problem to pay what we can't eat but he was determined to eat it (that upset me so much). And finally the waiter came to us with Bill of 65$ Instead of 46. He tried to charge us for every dish separately but not with the menu that we wanted (all you can eat) Then to us came the hostess and apolagized that the waiter tried to charge us more. Anyway. I just wanted to spend good time with my son but Instead of that they made me feel like a lier and my son overfull himself. I will never ever...
Read moreI found this place in the Yelp’s top eats in the burbs. Lately, I’ve been pretty disappointed in the ayce sushi in the burbs, so my expectations were kind of low coming in. The menu was a lot different than the picture I saw one reviewer posted. For about $29 it’s a good deal and the quality is very decent. I wouldn’t say high quality since I also eat at omakase’s and I know what high quality taste like. Seating has a good amount, if you have a party of 3 or more than seating can be limited. Service was fantastic. Drinks were never empty and our empty dishes were taken away. Most of the food was good. Some I didn’t care for and were misses. Overall I would give ⅘ and I would come back.
