Initial Thoughts: Walking into the restaurant I could immediately tell the place was clean, the floor was swept and counters were kept clutter free. Also there are many signs that say to wear a mask, and there is a transparent divider at the register and pickup location. This place definitely met the COVID-19 regulations and made me feel safe to enter.
Service: I was greeted by staff with a warm smile and a soft and polite tone. They were very quick to take my order and I felt very satisfied with the way they treat customers there. This was an excellent experience.
Order/Food: I have been eating Zabiha Halal all my life and I get excited to try out new places. I love fried chicken and its been a long time since i've had any ever since the only halal kfc stopped cooking zabiha meat. Brown's chicken went beyond my expectations at upholding and even exceeding the taste of the chicken I once knew. The meat was fresh, the texture of the chicken was superb, and even though the chicken was juicy it never got soggy, it had the perfect balance between juicy and crispy. I personally got mine with extra spice and the taste was great. I also got the jumbo chicken sandwiches and every item in that was completely fresh. The food was enjoyable to the last bite.
Conclusion: I will continue to give business to Brown's Chicken on Golf Rd. They are very kind people and its great to have such good tasting food nearby! They always get my order right and are always looking to satisfy their customers. Also, for the price the proportion of food you get are great!...
Read moreThe attending worker was very pleasant. Store was clean. Chicken breasts dropped fresh so hot when I got home.
My issue is with the INSANITY of the prices! ARE THEY NUTS????
I got two (2) Chicken Breasts, 1/2 lb. Mushrooms, and order of Mostaciolli. The order came to $31.50ish! HOW in the HECK could fast food take out cost significantly MORE than a full meal in very nice restaurant????
Prices are ludicrous. I will never figure out what cost so darn much but it couldn't have been the chicken because they were less than $4.00 each (so total $8). The mushrooms could have been more than $6. The little container of mostaccioli with really horrible fake cheese stuff on it couldn't have costed more than maybe $3 (I'm not sure because I haven't ordered a mostaccioli side in a long time but pasta is typically the cheapest thing one can eat besides rice in this world).
My order total for take out was about $31.50 and I STILL can't believe it. It's because of that that I'm not going to be returning, ever. I can't afford to be spending $31.50 on fast food takeaway. I could have gotten a beautiful steak with salad and sides for that.
The chicken was very good. The mushrooms were soggy and squishy. The mostacholi went down the garbage disposal as it had some kind of strange fake cheese on it and I only wanted the mostacholi... not some funky stuff on top of it. The mostacholi itself was quite horrible and that's not usually the case at Brown's in my past experience. I really regret having dropped $31.50...
Read moreI will start with the good first... the guy at the counter was nice. Now the bad... food was cold! Chicken, sides, all cold. We asked the guy how long the chicken was sitting there that was done in the basket in the back and he said it just came out. Then why was it cold?! We dined in so it should be hot right then. The corn on the cob was so cold my friend couldn't even spread butter on it. I mean the food was not even slightly warm... it was COLD! The guy said that the heat was not working in the place and that's why it was cold in the place. I wonder if the burners were working (or not working in this case) at all as well. I told him the food was cold (twice), he never said sorry. He said if we order ahead, it will be hot. No! When you walk up to a counter to order your food, it should be hot. In fact, a customer should never receive cold food. But obviously this guy doesn't know that. And the food was not good at all! We hadn't eaten at Browns in nearly 30 years. They sure have changed... for the worse!!! (I kind of think that the heat DOES work in that place because they don't want to TURN IT ON! Save themselves some money. Because everything was just cheap and bad about...
