Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Schaumburg Township

If I could give this restaurant negative 5,000 stars I totally would. The manager on duty around 2pm April 3rd 2021 by the name of Greg was very rude and disrespectful. I placed an order online, it was my mistake that I placed the order for the wrong location. However I’m told by the location I was at, this is a common mistake being as though they’re both near each other. Greg informed me there’s no possible way he could cancel my order because it was already made, I apologized for the inconvenience and informed him I had no way to get to his store and I was already at the location nearest me. He said there’s nothing he could do and I quote “ You don’t pay us to eat the sandwich, you pay us to make it, rather you eat or not is on you” . I was livid, the manager at the location I was at stood in awe, she couldn’t believe how nasty and rude he was being at the time. I hope the owner of this location sees this review and calls the other store to confirm my conversation as it wasn’t good at all. I maintained a leave hear during the entire ordeal, I asked Greg well what can I do, are you refusing to issue me a refund, he hung up in my face! I initially thought it was poor connection, I called back twice and he refused to answer the phone. I then called from my friends phone and he hung up again!! I’m not sure what type of managerial training this company provides but clearly Greg shouldn’t have met the qualifications. I will be disputing this charge with my bank and I will never ever stop foot into this establishment! Ever. I advise anyone who wants to be treated with some form of respect to do the same. What he said to me, his tone and his demeanor was completely unprofessional. We all have bad days but as a manger no better yet as a decent human being it’s never ever okay to treat someone this way. This location needs a rebrand. I went to this location Tuesday evening 10/21/25 its was my only my second time at this location but it was boyfriend’s first time. Immediately, from the time we walked to the time left the closing manger had the worst attitude. When we tried to place an order we asked if we could make any adjustments to how the sandwich was made, and instead of explaining why not, the manager became snappy and rolling his eyes because he didn’t hear the order right. We didn’t appreciate his attitude about the whole situation and the other guy working that night didn’t “know” the manager’s name when we asked for it claiming that the guy was a new hire. Which I’m aware was a lie because how do you work an entire shift taking orders from someone you don’t “know” . We left before the situation can escalate further because the manger was already frustrated from the phone call he was having before we entered the store, just to pick back up the phone and continue his personal call right after we were rung out. I will not be returning I don’t recommend this location. The sandwiches were overall were okay but the customer service will get 0 stars . Hiring people like that to run your store is bad...

My experience in this restaurant was good, even though my expectations were not met. My friend recommended this place, and I did not hesitate to visit it. He told me how delicious the subs were in this place, which is why I was so excited to visit it because I love subs too. I was already in the restaurant, and it was clean and bright. It is definitely a good spot for something really quick. The staff were nice, and I immediately ordered myself a sub. The staff did not recommend anything, so I just chose randomly, and I chose their turkey sub. The service is really quick and the place is not crowded, so I was able to get my sub after a few minutes. I am expecting something great considering its price. The turkey sub is fresh; literally everything in it is fresh. However, there is a missing flavor because it was not really the best or something I could say was really delicious. Yes, it is pretty good, but I was just disappointed since I had expected much more from it, and that was my fault. Still, I am looking forward to going back and will probably try something...
