There are other eating places in Woodfield you can enjoy and have a better experience.
When we were ordering there are so many unnecessary signs on the counter. Samples include " let us know if you are ordering to go before paying," "extra sriracha $1," etc.
The food is acceptable but nothing to rave about. The pho we ordered was packed with so much noodles and not enough of the meats. I get that. Inflation must really made everything so bad.
The worst part is the service. The lady with glasses who served us seems to be going to a really very very bad day and brought it all on us. She is probably the unfriendliest person in the world for now. She looked at us with no greeting, no smile, no reaction. I think it would be better to just make this place a self served or automated food place. She gave us our food in the tray with no words or expression of any kind. She is visibly irked when I asked her which is which from our order since they were in the same container bowls. This lady needs some training in customer service or probably do some other job. One star is the lowest I can rate her. Wished there was a negative star.
No wonder this is the only place in the fastfood area where nobody is ordering or queuing. I recommend...
Read moreI'm not generally a "mall food court" person but I'm a huge fan of pho so, since I was shopping and hungry, I thought "why not?" and I stopped by Pho Cafe.
First things first: the price is higher than you would pay for most of the fast junk in food courts but it's not insane. In fact, at $13, it's about the same price I usually pay for pho anywhere else I go so that didn't phase me at all.
Second: I ordered the traditional beef pho (the house version has tripe, which I don't love) and wow! The bowl was huge and full of delicious broth, a ton of noodles, and they didn't skimp out on the beef either. The spices were just right, too. I had to laugh because there's a sign at the counter giving prices for extra bean sprouts and extra noodles but honestly, I can't imagine who would want even more than what they already give you - I can't even finish what's in my original order (and I'm not a light eater).
I was very pleasantly surprised! As in, I will definitely come back here to get my pho fix...
Read moreOn Monday, August 28 2023 at around 6pm I went to Pho Cafe for the first time. My allergies were acting up and a good hot Pho always makes me feel better. The gentleman employee behind the counter must have been having a bad day or going thorough something tough because he was one of the most unpleasant and grumpy people I have encountered in a long time. He was slamming tickets, rolling his eyes when he noticed customers who wanted to order, and was even overheard complaining about the number of customers that wanted to eat at the Pho Cafe. While I waited for my food maybe 8-10 people ordered, with little to no line so they were not overly swamped. I would love to say I would go back there again but due to the staff, I will avoid this restaurant if I can. The food was good, but I don't want to feel like an in-convince when I'm buying food. If I could give service 0...
