Wok A Holic — Restaurant in Schaumburg Township

I went there because I was super excited to see that they offered bourbon chicken, I asked the server if I could get a sample of it and she rudely yelled NO— which I was shocked about because most Chinese places (in the mall) allow you to sample the meat before Purchasing an entrée but nevertheless, I still wanted to eat here so I asked her about another meat that I seen and without even looking at what I was pointing at she said that it was chicken, I then asked what kind of chicken and she’s raised her voice saying SPICY CHICKEN, DON’T YOU SEE THE PEPPERS?! I was completely taken aback by her response but nevertheless, I told her that I would take the bourbon chicken bowl— when we got to the register I asked her what her name was and she said “it doesn’t matter” and proceeded to tell me my total and kept saying “do you want it, do you want it OR NOT??”. It was then that I told her she can keep the food and I walked away to spend my money elsewhere. Let me start by saying SAVE YOUR MONEY!! Yesterday was my first time at Woodfield Mall because I just moved to Chicago. This food place should probably get better employees or close down! The lady at the food stand Yesterday is the rudest being I have ever come across and she was Racist. Pushed our food at us and when we asked if it can be bagged she threw the bag on the counter and said "it's 4 of you and you all have hands bag it up yourselves". After few minutes she switched with a guy at Suki Hana and you need to see her attending another customer bagged up his food,wiped his bottle drink and I couldn't help but walk up to her and let her know how rude and unfair that is. Instead of apologizing she told me just go away. I have worked in food places few years ago and I dare not. Before i forget the Food wasnt good its all dried out probably sitting out for too long( in btw that mall is too big for those tiny food options).Let's all treat each other Nicely you never know who you talking to or who might meet and your life will...

Believe the 2.2 star reviews and runnnn bc this ish is nasty and not even worthy of half a star. The absolute worst "chinese" food ever. Since we'd never eaten here before, we asked to sample the bourbon chicken. Samples are not allowed here to my surprise bc every similar establishment in a food court has always done so. The lady we asked also had an attitude ab her. She wasn't even the worst part of the experience. The food was horrid. We ordered bourbon chicken and fried rice, and grabbed some of the hot sauce packets. Tell me if you've ever seen brown hot sauce in your life? The bourbon chicken was gross and fried rice was absolutely tasteless. Goes to show why they don't give samples bc it's the only way they'd make money. Had I had a sample prior, I'd never order any food here. It was so gross, I threw up when I left the mall. Do yourself a favor and go downstairs to China Wok where they actually allow samples and have friendly service. Their food is way better...
