Updated Review for Slaw Burger: We went back to Slaw Burger after our first visit during their soft opening, and I’m really glad we did. The owners offered to remake our order, and this time the burgers were absolutely delicious!
Today was just day two of their official opening, and the place was packed. Despite the crowd, the customer service was excellent; the staff was working hard both in the front and back to keep things running smoothly. I really appreciate how well they took constructive feedback and handled it with such kindness and professionalism. It honestly makes me want to come back just because of the great service.
The burgers were juicy and flavorful, and the fries were just as good. A huge improvement and a great experience overall. Looking forward to returning again soon!
—— We came to Slawburger from quite a distance, excited and hopeful after reading so many glowing reviews and comments from people at the Halal Fest. We ordered five smash burger combos, a mix of singles, doubles, spicy, and non spicy, along with a chicken sandwich combo.
Sadly, the experience was a real letdown. Perhaps it’s the new location, but every burger was extremely dry and overcooked, the patties tasting more like frozen rubber than fresh meat. There wasn’t much flavor either. Also, it was definitely not a smash burger. The first bite was tough and bland, and I thought perhaps I had just gotten unlucky. But when I looked over at my husband and kids, I saw their burgers were even worse, with edges burnt, centers stiff, and juices long gone. Watching their excitement fade into quiet disappointment was harder than eating my own. The hot sauce was decent but honestly it didn’t do much for the overcooked patties. My daughters chicken sandwich was fine, but nothing amazing either.
I do not like to speak badly about food. I know people work hard behind the scenes, and I truly hope this comes across not as criticism for the sake of it but as feedback for improvement. We made the trip here full of anticipation, but instead left feeling disheartened.
The service did not help much either. They were not outright rude, but they were not exactly welcoming. There were only two tables and four barstools, all occupied, so my husband and four children stood by as we ordered. When the worker asked, “Here or to go?” my husband replied, “Here,” only to be told, “We are full, so I will just put your food in a bag.” It wasn’t a big deal but it gave off an unwelcoming vibe, as though we were more of an inconvenience than a guest. Everytime the door opened or the bell rang, both workers would rush to the counter but otherwise they were in the back.
Food has the power to bring joy, comfort, and connection, and I believe this place can deliver that given the praise it has received from others. I hope the owners will take this as an opportunity to revisit their preparation inshallah so that future guests can have the experience we had been so...
Read moreThis place is mediocre at best. As soon as we walked in, the place is dirty and looks like it hasn’t been swept in days. We ordered a single cheeseburger, a triple cheeseburger and chicken slaw fries. We were told 20-25 minutes for the food to be ready because they were busy. The food took an hour and ten minutes to come out. Both burgers were missing the onions. One burger didn’t have the cheese and had only one pickle. The chicken slaw fries had maybe one chicken tender max, it was diced in to tiny pieces. The food was cold when it came out. The food tasted meh. There were no napkins in any of the dispensers and the water dispenser was also empty. There is barely any space to sit and no place for the people to stand and wait for their to go orders. There isn’t a bathroom in this restaurant, isn’t that against some rule? All their food is wrapped in to go containers that are not sustainable. So much added waste. I don’t recommend this...
Read moreI tried Slaw Burger for the first time after seeing it on TikTok, and it was a complete disappointment. The moment we walked in, there was a strange smell inside—like the grease traps hadn’t been cleaned—which immediately set the wrong tone.
My wife and I ordered a single smash combo, a chicken sandwich, and a hotdog. Unfortunately, all three items were lackluster in taste and quality. The only highlight of our visit was the chicken tenders they gave to our daughter.
To make matters worse, they tack on a 3% credit card surcharge without telling customers. When I asked about it, the staff just shrugged it off like it wasn’t a big deal.
Between the off-putting smell, disappointing food, and hidden charges, this place was a total letdown. Definitely not worth the hype.
Update (09/22/2025): Since eating here, I have been sick and throwing up. Honestly, the health department needs to check...
