I recently had a terrible experience at this Starbucks on Roselle in Schaumburg. I called after realizing I had received the wrong breakfast sandwich and another item was prepared incorrectly. The sandwich I received had pork (ham) on it and I strictly don't eat pork. I took a bite of the sandwich while driving and was horrified to realize, I bit into pork. I called and spoke to an employee and she was extremely apologetic and told me they would replace it, give me a refund and a "recovery" card. A week later I called to confirm what she told me before going since it's out of my way and not my usual Starbucks. They told me something completely different but we settled on replacing the meal and no additional refund or recovery card for my inconvenience. I drove there this morning and explained the situation and the very rude and dismissive Manager, named Chris, stated they would replace the sandwich and that's it. I repeatedly explained the situation and what I'd been told and he said the person I spoke with was just a barista and I should have spoken to a manager. It was a classic case of blaming the customer and he was rude and dug in. I told him by replacing just the sandwich I drove all the way there and made two phone calls, just to be given what I already paid for and no compensation for the inconvenience, or the other item that was ordered not warmed but received warmed. He treated me like I was trying to get free stuff, in fact he said "you're getting the sandwich and no other stuff" in a disrespectful and again, dismissive tone and he repeated it several times. This person shouldn't be in customer service, much less a manager. Unfortunately I eventually lost my temper, but only when I knew he was absolutely shut down to listening or caring. He then refused to even replace the sandwich and scone. I sat by the drive in window and he closed it on me. I was so mad, I would have stayed there but there were cars behind me. I left and writing this review helps me and I'll now contact corporate. Make sure to check your orders before you leave this place and keep in mind this Manager has not trained his employees on policy and this is not someone that respects, or treats customers...
Read moreWhenver we visit from NYC, we make good use of the Starbucks drive-through here, which is near my parent's house, for either a coffee run or cake pops for the kids. I have only been inside a few times, but it's a large Starbucks with ample seating and always seems busy, but we are usually visiting during the summer or holidays.
The drive-through staff has always been courteous and as efficient as possible. I have only had my drink made wrong a couple of times, but it was never a big deal to go inside and have it re-made or fixed.
I like that they train the even during busy shifts because everyone has to learn eventually, and as a customer, remember to be mindful! We all started somewhere, be kind. I've seen my share of not-so-nice people in the drive through and wonder what you're gaining by being mean. They are young kids working in there and...
