Panera Bread — Restaurant in Schererville

Love Panera. Am a drink club member so I can to stop at anyone along the way. I been to this one a few times. Easy to get to and have a back entrance off Main. Decent parking.

They seem to keep busy. Never really an issue with the food. If you ask them to add or take off something on the food they get mad. They say just this one time. Like they really going out of thier way. Wanted garlic creme sause ( yummy) on my margarita cheese pizza. The manager gave me a hard time yet it comes on the chicken pizza. They threw a fit.

Never get to really interact with staff as they are too busy. Workers breakroom is the lobby so their always hanging around together.

Place always has dirty, floors tables and dishes get stacked up. The one bench next to meet was full of trash when I got thier and 30 minutes later as I was leaving still was like that. Lots of dirt on the floors and under the tables. See pics. Place seems more like a McDonalds with service.

My favorite location is Munster. They are nice, greet you most of the time, place is most always getting cleaned, will do minor substutions on food like sauses on your pizza, food is very quick and even Ken the manger been known to say hi to the guests. Never one here asked how my food...

Me my wife and my daughter all wanted something from Panera bread. My wife went to order us food and to take it home and she was sitting there for a long time and then realized that she made her food to go and set it on the counter and never said anything. Then when she said something they proceeded to place the food that's been sitting in the open for 10 minutes and do a bag and send it home and when she got home he took all the food out of the bag and my $15 sandwich was not even in it.. so frustrated I got in the car drove up to Panera bread in Schererville Indiana. Walk to the counter tell the young kid what was going on he had no idea what to do. Went in the back to talk to his manager and they said they were too busy because they were making a catering order which I didn't understand because there was a line of other people ordering food I don't understand why Panera could make their food but couldn't make me my sandwich that I didn't receive that I paid for. After going back and forth with this child that's working there and they finally gave me my money back. literally never go there again that's the fifth or sixth time I have had an issue with Panera bread and their progressive employees...

Panera has always been one of my favorite places for dinner but after tonight's experience I will think long and hard before setting foot into anothrt one. I had to wait in line over 5 min before the manager botheted to wait on the couple on front of me and there were only 2 of us in line behind the person placing his order. I was overcharged even though I explained my order 3 times. I just wanted the SW chicken soup + 1/2 sandwich. I explained how I was overcharged. The cashiertalked to the manager then came back and told the other worker he said to give her what she wanted. I advised I just wanted what I ordered but to be charged correctly. After I did not step away, the cashier tjen asked if I wanted to see if I could some ofy money back Really??? The manager did come out and refu ded me oney. On the bright side the food was ready quickly. I was very disappointed in the reduced choices on the menu. All of the good broth bowls were gone That is not the store's fault but if corporate is not providing the good product and the service was terrible why...
