Being a Kathiyawadi, I have always craved for good authentic regional food. During our trip to IN, we came across this restaurant with good reviews. Now my expectations were really high on taste and authenticity and this one met every single checklist I had! Great ambience, serving in brass containers, amazingly fresh food and absolute authentic taste! The owners do it all with serving, taking orders and cooking each item. They were honest and did let us know upfront about the wait but we really wanted to try out and trust me, the food was totally worth the wait! We liked it so much that the next day on our way back we stopped again for lunch! We tried Kathiyawadi thali, Gujarati thali, dosa, aloo paratha, chole bhatura and all were equally yummy! During lunch hours, the wait was 10-15 mins and since it wasn't as busy, I got a chance to interact with the owner who described how the concept was visualized and put into action. Last but not the least - don't forget to try their fresh and hot sukhdi!! We will be waiting for them to open their franchise in Ohio for sure. Thank you for bringing the taste and feel of Gujarat and Kathiyawad....
Read moreJust visited Thaal and was really impressed. The food is flavorful, fresh, and feels truly authentic. We ordered a Punjabi Thaal, masala dosa, annd cholle bhature—everything was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. The paranthas were hot and buttery, just the way it should be.
The restaurant itself has a cozy, welcoming vibe with beautiful Indian decor that adds to the experience. You can tell a lot of thought went into creating an atmosphere that feels both traditional and inviting.
Staff/Owner were super friendly and helpful, especially if you’re not familiar with the menu—they’re happy to explain dishes and adjust spice levels to your liking.
Prices are reasonable for the quality, and portion sizes are generous. Whether you’re already a fan of Indian food or trying it for the first time, this place is 100% worth a visit especially for vegetarians.
Highly recommend! Will definitely be back to try...
Read moreAt first glance, this restaurant appears to be a good place to eat. The service is excellent, and the furniture and menu are authentically Indian. I particularly enjoyed the menu, which featured dishes like pav bhaji and chole bature that are not commonly found in other restaurants. This place is a great option for those who want to try Indian food. It offers a refreshing change from the usual butter chicken and garlic naan. However, it’s important to note that the food here is not typically spicy, often with a sweet flavor. When we inquired about the spice levels, they informed us that they don’t usually add spice unless you specifically request it. They said, “we don’t do that here- you have to ask for desi level spice.”We ordered chole bature, pav bhaji, and two thalis. Surprisingly, none of the dishes we ordered contained any...
