I started shopping at James and sons in late 2022 looking for an engagement ring for my wife. Wendy assisted me in finding the perfect ring for my now wife! We came back and purchased a matching wedding band for her ring and found my wedding band as well with the assistance and ease of Wendy. She has been fantastic throughout our shopping experience! Unfortunately, we were approaching our 1 year anniversary this year and decided to order a matching wedding band to complete her ring. I was assisted and ordered the matching ring that we originally ordered a year prior. I was then asked for a receipt to be sent to me via text and I agreed. Unfortunately, the text with the receipt was somehow sent to my wife completely ruining my 1 year surprise. The ring was also ordered to her correct size and it did not come as ordered. Upon addressing this in store, I was told it was a glitch in the system with a double account and was told there was going to be contact with the IT department. I left it at that. My wife seeing how upset I was, went back and spoke with the associate that helped me originally said that they would follow up and let her know what came of it and to have her ring adjusted because it did not come as the size that was ordered. She wasn’t notified of anything that came about of it and the ring still didn’t match the original one we had ordered prior. We feel like there was very little apology for what we feel like was a large surprise ruined for us. She went back today and still no resolution on the issue. We had such a great experience with Wendy helping us in the past, but this last encounter with different staff has been unforgettable and disappointing. We are surprised at this as our families have had such great experiences with your company in the past. Our journey with James N Son’s schererville, Indiana has been incredible. From the very beginning of working with Megan, she worked together with my now husband and helped him create a stunning engagement rings with sentimental embellishments. She then worked with me to create a one-of-a kind band that reflects his passions and work ethic. I got my wedding band resized, and it was done within 24 hours! They did not charge me at all! I recently had a mishap and bent my beautiful engagement ring, and was so devastated! Stephanie and the girls were so kind working with me, and graciously took on my ring to restore it. After just about a week, we got the notification my ring was ready. Going in to get my ring I was expecting two things 1) a big bill 2) a slightly imperfect ring (them doing the best they could to repair it). When I tell you I almost cried seeing my ring, I mean it was just as stunning as the first time I saw it when my now husband proposed! It was perfectly clean, and no evidence of any prior mishaps. It was STUNNING AND PERFECT! They cared for me and my ring with such excellence, I am so blown away. To top it all off, they graciously did not charge me a cent. My wife has been buying from James&Sons since they were in Calumet City. I understand why, the entire staff is professional in every way. Then I met Cindi who is now my go to person for gift ideas. I have to say it was a pleasant surprise to get a hand written thank you note from her something you don't see anymore.

Cindi also gives phone call reminders for cleanings/inspections, anniversary, and birthdays. Cindi has made shopping fun and I find myself stopping by when in the area just to look around.

I'm not sure about their prices because I don't go anywhere else. I have found that if you get great service, merchandise, and trust who you are working with, price really doesn't matter.

2/11/23 Update.... I was looking for a 35th anniversary present which happens to be Jade. While it is easy to find Jade I didn't know what I was looking at, so I went to Cindi my go to gal for jewelry. Fortunately I started this project early, it took about a week for Cindi to send pictures and then get a ring in the store. I have to say it was a huge success, the ring was sized in time for our anniversary and the color of the stone matched nicely with two Tacori bracelets. Cheers to Cindi for a great...
