8.10.24 After a refreshing day of swimming, we decided to stop by Mama Margie’s in Schertz for lunch, and it did not disappoint! The meal was both filling & bursting with flavor. The picadillo nachos were a mountain of deliciousness, packed with savory goodness. The barbacoa tacos were simply amazing, with tender & flavorful meat that melted in our mouths. The chicken fajitas quesadilla was another highlight, with the flour tortilla perfectly cooked to be crispy yet soft. A big shoutout to the staff for maintaining the restaurant so well. The place was clean and welcoming, making our dining experience even better. Great job, Mama Margie’s team!

The restrooms were spotless & the thoughtful addition of a changing table made it convenient for families w/little ones. Chips & Salsas Galore: We dove into the bottomless chips—crispy & addictive! The variety of salsas (from mild to fiery) kept our taste buds dancing. Nachos Extravaganza: Picture a mountain of nachos—loaded with gooey melted cheese, savory picadillo & hearty beans. I ordered four tacos with only one other car in line and by the time I got to the window they had the order completely wrong. So I corrected it at the window specifying exactly how many of each taco I wanted to get and then get home just to find out the order was still wrong. They offered to replace one of the tacos out of the bag which is cool and all but the failure to consider the time it takes out of my day to drive back out. There the cold food by the time I get home to eat with my family or the gas that it's going to cost me to make a second trip back out there for them to correct the order for me to still eat cold food and giving me a time limit for this morning after confirming that they gave me the wrong order is absolute BS. For they're only having been two customers in the Drive-Thru and to make the same mistake, three separate times on the same order is flat out absurd. Not to mention the time limits again for me to waste my time, more gas, and end up eating cold food. I don't think I've ever even had service this bad from McDonald's... I would hope that after having read this review and full on admitting to giving me the wrong order in the first place they would do no less then call me back and offer a full refund. It shouldn't be that hard to make or correct an order for three bean and cheese tacos and one chorizo and egg taco. I don't often leave bad reviews so when I do the place usually earned it. We got the Picadillo plate & a bean & cheese taco & a chicken fajita taco. We asked the girl at the counter told us the plate we ordered came with guacamole so we didn't order any to go with our tacos. When we got our food there was no quacamole we of course went back to the counter to get the quacamole only to be told that our plate didn't come with it. We told her that the cashier told us it did but she just said sorry she told you wrong. I went back up to go pay for a side of quacamole for our tacos. She tried to charge me almost $5 for a quacamole salad & I repeated that I just wanted a small side for my taco order (it was just ¢75). She told me that I couldn't just order the side for a taco without ordering a taco so explained what happened thinking by now they should have offered it to me for free because I have now spent more than 10 min trying to get quacamole & my food is just at my table getting cold! I FINALLY got the quacamole. Thru out this whole ordeal I noticed that none of your employees ever smile! The older gentleman that bussed our table was super friendly even smiled! If it wasn't for this man we probably never would consider going back but we probably will give it one more chance.
