If you’re in the mood for some finger-licking goodness, Slim Chickens is the place to be! I recently visited this fast food gem, and I was absolutely blown away by the experience.

From the moment I walked in, the vibe was inviting and warm. The décor had a modern yet cozy feel, with plenty of seating options that made it perfect for both solo diners and groups. The staff greeted me with big smiles and were incredibly friendly especially Jonathan Koleber, making me feel right at home.

Now, let’s talk about the food! Slim Chickens specializes in chicken, and trust me when I say they’ve mastered it. I opted for the classic chicken tenders, and they were nothing short of perfection. The tenders were juicy, perfectly breaded, and had just the right amount of crunch. Each bite was flavorful, and you could tell they use high-quality ingredients. I paired them with their signature dipping sauces, and oh my goodness—each sauce was a delightful addition. The ranch and honey mustard were standouts for me!

I also couldn't resist trying their fries, which were seasoned just right and had that perfect crispy texture. They offered a variety of sides, but I highly recommend their coleslaw for a refreshing contrast to the richness of the chicken.

Two things I enjoy are chicken and new franchises. Buuut. The place is nice, new and clean. The location caught my attention. Great location placement naihboring a Starbucks. There are not too many new restaurants I've noticed do that. And maybe I didn't notice, but they also didn't draw in my curiosity to notice them prior to today as well. I wasn't sure what I was going for once I pulled up other than chicken. your drive thru employee did a great job of explaining what there was to offer. I ended up purchasing 8 garlic parm wings only w 2 blue cheese and extra parm seasoning on the wings, not on the side. But I didn't get the extra parm seasoning. Maybe miscommunication thru a drive thru speaker? Maybe the cook forgot? Service was still better than a lot of places. The wings them self weren't bad, but we're sadly plain. The chicken didn't have any flavor and tasted a little past their date, barely, but it was there. Normally, the sauce covers this up, but there wasn't much for sauce. The garlic was slightly present, but the parm didn't have much of a taste. Maybe because it was chopped and not powered? The food honestly looked great, like art, but failed to excite. I had to drown them in the blue cheese after a few. Please don't take this as a slight at all, but more as my honest opinion, right or wrong. I mean, the chicken and waffle had me curious. As a garlic parm fan, this didn't feel like it landed. Lastly, for an 8 piece, if my mind was blown, the price would be fare to nothing. It was the most I've paid for 8 wings ever. I didn't question on ordering. I was hoping to be knocked away, but wasn't. I mulled on what I experienced after and tried to make sense of the pricing. Yall don't strike me as trying to empty a person's pocket, and I pause to remember the economy affects us all. Could it be the wings them selves, no. It couldn't be the sauce. Maybe the grated parm? 1st time visit, bit pricey for 2 meals. Ordering was fast, there was a line which went pretty quick in front an those behind me. Drinks came out quick before i got to the window which was great to enjoy the milkshake i got. Once to the window they asked my name and the waiting began, NO other communication happened, for about 16min. Line of cars behind me got there food an drink an left as i still waited at the window. At about 18min someone opened the door to tell me they were waiting on my chicken sandwich. I watched the employees fill drinks for other orders an not once in the 18min open the window tell me why i was waiting so long. Finally after 20mins after ordering i got my food already finished the Strawberry milkshake which was very delicious. $34.92 for 2 meals and a jar brownie which they recommended to try. The 3 tenders & 3 wing meal were barley warm/hot. The fries were soggy, the ranch dressing they put in the tenders box was warm. They should of had that out of the box. Of all that time waiting not 1 manager or team leader came to open that window to say something to me as I waited. Each restaurant is different.
