McDonald's — Restaurant in Schofield

McDonalds is McDonalds. Same food, just different background… so I guess I talk about the background. This place is not what I would consider clean. Granted I was in the kids play area, but there was a food tray with 2 dirty rags and a spray bottle of degreaser back there the entire time we were there (over an hour). Pretty sure that is a huge safety factor to have spray chemical bottles by kids and food. All the tables and seats were dirty. We wiped our table off with the cleaner rag and some degreaser. Not sure if it was sanitary, but it appeared better than it was previously. Self service cleaning? I’m not sure if that was the intent or not. Our food order was a bit mysterious. I ordered a bacon McDouble (from the menu). Response: cheeseburger with bacon? No, bacon McDouble. Bacon quarter pounder? No, bacon McDouble. Should have taken the warning and left then. Also ordered 10 piece nuggets meal. They gave me an extra fry, which they definitely charged me for, and those aren’t cheap any more. Finally my bacon McDouble looked more like a leaning smooshed sandwich than the presentation on the menu board. It used to be excusable when it was cheap, but now with the increased prices, I’d appreciate some better quality… or at least the quality...

I typically leave early to show up to work 15 minutes before my start time. If I don’t have time to make myself lunch, I will leave an extra 5 minutes early to go through the drive thru of this particular McDonald’s because they were always reliable to get me in and out of the drive through in minutes. (Mind you I only order a small fry, a McDouble, and a medium soda) the last two times, yesterday in particular, I waited 12 minutes. Now, it’s one thing to wait for food because you need more fries or whatever, but I saw all the cars that were behind me get their food. The guys who was parked behind me got his very large order (2 large bags) and I was still sitting there waiting for my small order. I have never been more outraged. I was within minutes on making it on time for work. And the sad part is, within the last two weeks, this has happened. Where I have waited a ridiculous amount of time for my food and watch everyone else get theirs.

I guess long story short, don’t go to this location if you want consistent service. Now I will never come back to this location because of the inconsistency. Taco John’s has a better...

The recent renovation is nice. The drive thru staff was keeping busy and it looked like they knew what they were doing. However the cashier who took my order inside had a helpless "whatever" attitude that I was not impressed with. The person putting my food together stopped what she was doing to chat with the cashier and another staff member who went on break right after I put in my order. He ordered his food and she fulfilled his order right away after they finished a conversation that lasted a couple minutes. The worker who was fulfilling the order realized she had forgotten my order but had an unapologetic attitude about it, which was awkward because I was standing right there with two squirrely impatient kids running around. I called the manager over and told him the service had been pretty bad. He acknowledged me but didn't really apologize, try to make it better, say he would speak to his staff, or even offer some sort of incentive to come back. So, in summary, nice property, bad staff at the desk while I was there, which is unfortunate. I will be avoiding this location...
