The food here has always been good and the owners are nice. Also, they sell Americanized Chinese food like nearly every single Chinese takeout/restaurant in the United States. It's safer to expect that Chinese restaurants such as this one is serving the Americanized version of the Chinese food, that has been around since the 1800s, rather than expect authentic cuisine. It never hurts to ask if they can make authentic foods either. I ask them to make me ma po tofu all the time, which isn't on the menu. delicious.
There are reviews complaining about the long wait times when they literally chose to get Chinese on Christmas Eve and during prime dinner time too?? Wait times during regular days are good. Usually takes around 15-20 minutes. Also, saying that you're "supporting local' after demanding a refund while still expecting to get the food you ordered? Yeah, alright. Anyways, food here is good and prices are average. Been eating here since the new owners took over years ago and I see how busy they get during...
Read moreThe owners are extremely nice. Wife who takes phone orders is smart, nice and absolutely beautiful. They have a beautiful family. Sweet n Sour shrimp seemed like it had been prefried and refried for my order. Chicken fried was which comes with it is nice but just okay in taste. No egg in it just very small bits of chicken and wish the rice had better flavor. Never gave me any sweet n sour sauce with my order so eating fried shrimp alone in my hotel room with Panda Express packets of sweet n sour sauce was a total bummer. Really wanted just a touch maybe 2oz even of that extra pinkish red sweet n sour sauce. Egg roll which is an option vs soup was just okay for an egg roll. Seems like since COVID-19 all Chinese restaurants have cheapened their recipes quite a bit and I just love Chinese food. The value of the combo meal is fair with an appetizer, meal and rice and portions seem fair for $10.95-$11.95 combo meals. I’ll go back again but hope other options are fresher and egg rolls are better since I...
Read moreI have waited an hour and a half for my food and still don't have it. Now, if they said it would be an hour and a half when I ordered that would be one thing, but nope, they said 30 minutes. Then they said sorry it will be 20 more minutes when I show up at the thirty minute mark. So after 30 more minutes (one hour total) I called and they said it will be another 20 minutes. I asked if they would refund my $45.00 and I was told the owner would not refund my money unless I wanted to cancel my order (with my family at home waiting for the food), but would be willing to give me a DISCOUNT on my next order...which there will not be. I have been a customer at this restaurant through owner changes and for 15 years and it is continually going down hill. I will drive an extra 15 to 20 minutes to get Chinese food next time to never have to give them another dime. This is what I get for insisting on shopping local and trying to support my community. The food is good if you are willing to wait...
