City Market Deli - Raintree Corporate Center — Restaurant in Scottsdale

You'll see this place has nothing but 5-star reviews. That's not by accident. These aren't reviews by bots. This place IS a 5-star deli, through and through.

Every morning I come in to get my omelette and occasional coffee. Every morning I'm met by Raj's smiling face, the warm welcome from the friendly cook lady in the back (it's been a year and I still don't know her name, but she's wonderful!), and I can count on banter and laughter every time I walk in the door. The seating in the back is quaint and quiet, not to mention cozy and comfortable.

But these aren't even the best bits about the place.

His pies. If you ever see a slice of pie in the cooler, GET IT. DO NOT HESITATE. DO NOT SLEEP ON IT. This pie is from heaven. This pie is divine. You'll lose sleep over how good the pie Raj's wife makes is, and you'll forever be spoiled. No other pie will ever again compare.

I'm fortunate to work two floors up from the deli. If I ever stopped working two floors up, I'd still visit City Market Deli. Thanks...

Lunch was excellent, and the service was outstanding. The menu has many types of dishes to choose from, and Raj, the owner, was only too happy to customize my order. I've had several different lunches, and all were delicious. In addition to the burger I had yesterday, I heartily recommend the Detroit Roast Beef (think French Dip), and even something as common as a tuna sandwich was delightful. BTW, Raj pays such attention to every detail that he makes certain to have the "correct" au jus for the Detroit Roast Beef....

They delivered food to an event we had at the Baha’i Information Center in Tempe. Prices were very reasonable and they made great accommodations for dietary restrictions such as providing a variety of great quality dairy and egg-free bread. The food was delicious and included sandwiches, fruit salad and regular salad we had ordered, including dressing and condiments. The staff were also very easy to work with and arrived before the scheduled time to help set up the food....
