I would not go back and was very disappointed in the whole experience. If you have a special occasion or are trying to impress your gathering.. DO NOT go here. I chose this restaurant based off the previous reviews for my friends “going away / acceptance into med school” dinner. Apparently the restaurant has new investors who have changed the menu.. but they have A LOT of work to do.
Food - Overall I would give the food a 4/5.. brussels sprouts and the cauliflower chicken wings were bomb.. everything else was mid. For how frustrated we were with the rest of the experience.. we all agreed at least the majority of the food was good.
Drinks- We tried to order the pitcher of Sangria.. they ran out. The wines my friend tried were unimpressive and tasted like a cheap bottle of wine tbh. We ordered two cocktails and two beers which were decent.
Service- This killed the whole experience. The restaurant was nearly empty upon arrival to our reserved table.. which they did not have set up and we had to wait while they wiped the table down. We sat outside near the end of bar and were able to dance to the music playing at carambas (restaurant next door) which seemed more like a vibe. We came for their vegetarian choices on the original menu, for our friend who we were celebrating, to find out they changed the menu the day before and had limited options now for vegetarians. The appetizers took forever to come to the table. One of the apps we ordered was truffle fries however they brought regular fries .. when we brought this to our waiters attention we said “ohh you wanted truffle fries too?” which we replied “no we ordered truffle fries to begin with” and the response was “okay so now you want truffle fries too?”. The follow up to this should have been an apology and to bring the correct order however the table felt he tried to make it seem like it was our error when we ordered. Finally, every dinner plate was brought out about 15-20 min apart, with our guest of honor being served second to last. Her fettuccine alfredo was good, but it was not fettuccine alfredo lmao, it was a spiral noodle and seemed more like a scampi based pasta dish. We expressed our frustrations and the manager did come out to apologize as they realized the poor experience and comped us some items on our bill and gave a free dessert. We appreciate the acknowledgment and the apology but this review is to mainly let the investors and management know they need an immediate process improvement. You should never run a menu until your kitchen staff is confident and efficient in the items they are making. For each entree to come out 15-20 min apart is unacceptable. Our main waiter was nice but other servers that came to bring us our food seemed to have a poor attitude when we had to ask them to remove finished appetizer plates to make room for our delayed dinner plates.
It is unfortunate as this was suppose to be a special dinner which was rather well researched in the beginning of the week, buttt ended up being...
Read moreWe returned from our trip to Scottsdale last week and had to write a review on this great locals place. In 7 days we ate there for dinner, lunch and happy hour. When employees love what they do you get great service. Brandon, who we had the pleasure of meeting, knows what it takes to be the best locally owned company. Quality product and outstanding service. We are missing this restaurant already. Between our friends who came from Chicago to meet us for our anniversary, we had almost everything on the menu. If happy hour is your thing you can't beat it. Every meal was delicious and the presentation is 5 star. When burgers are made from Brisket, chuck and short rib you know the quality is spot on. I won't bore you with every dish but know you are going to get value and great food. For the service, our server most days was Tia and deserve 6 stars. She just loves what she does and it shows. Each time we came she knew us by name and served us our drinks by remembering what we had the first night. If we were back in the food business, I would steal her and Brie in a heartbeat. The days we went back and either one was not there the staff was still outstanding. Everything is delicious and the homemade desserts are a must. I wish they would open in Las Vegas. We did not eat the meatless burger. Short ribs, sandwiches are so great, I would eat there everyday if we lived there. Most of the people who were eating there are locals which tells you how excellent the food is. Wagyu sliders and filet sliders are killer. We ate out on the patio each time and fur babies aloud on the patio. Some of the dishes we forgot to take pictures but the chicken wings and all others were cobbled down before we took the pictures because the presentation made you want to dive in. We may need to take a 4 1/2 hour drive to go back real soon. $$ not 3 o4 $$$$. I don't know how they do it on the prices they charge. Love and hugs to Tia, Brie and everyone else there. This took so long to write if you see it on Google, yelp or anywhere else is because it was easier then writing the same thing. The above is the original on...
Read moreThe food was surprising it seemed so interesting but mostly fell short on execution. We had the cauliflower, it was heavy on the Buffalo sauce but good overall, two of us didnt enjoy the cucmber dressing, but I thought it was pretty good. The Brussel Sprouts where overdone if you look at the picture, but the pop of pomegranate seeds were a nice touch. I was quite hungry so I ate some of it. The Wagyu sliders were mediocre. The sauce on them helped. Our favorite was the filet sliders, we definitely recommend those. The fries don't have salt though. We got the garlic mashed potatoes, they were not seasoned at all either so they were not bad but not as yummy as our server said they would be. The macaroni and cheese was not the warm gooey goodness we expected. The cavatappi was cooked well. But the mixture of cheese they use was unappetizing mostly tasting of American we had to send that back. We ended up getting two burgers. They sounded enticing on the menu as a mix of Brisket and shortrib but we were so disappointing, maybe the worse item on the menu. They were thinner than expected and reminded me of frozen patties from a wholesale store. They were definitely well done although the menu said medium. They were served with unseasoned fries in a bowl. The chicken Philly was tasty. Our server was a nice woman who gave good service. The other man who greeted us was a bit off putting in his tone towards us versus other guests. So we were pleased the woman took over. I can see why people go because the ambiance is for a modern crowd. Unfortunately we were not impressed by the food. I should have taken more pictures. I suppose there may be a few things people go there specifically for. We tasted a variety of menu options. I would say try the filet sliders and cauliflower with light sauce. Other than that consistency with the cook of items matters. Maybe the cook was having an off day. Either way we were traveling but on our next trip to Scottsdale we will...
