Yogis Grill — Restaurant in Scottsdale

Been going here for lunch every other week minimum for 4 years now. Always a great staff and good food for a good price! I too had the dreaded brown Avocado mentioned in more recent reviews. I called and asked the staff and they said it was from the avocado being left in with the warm food for pickup and delivery orders. Next time I ordered Avocado to be put on the side and it was delicious as always. I would recommend to the team at Yogi's to start doing this, as it may turn off newcomers. Ordered the chicken Katsu for delivery. It was a bit burnt, but my real issue was the amount of Katsu sauce. I’ve ordered chicken Katsu from dozens of restaurants all around the world, including in Japan, and I’ve never been served with such little sauce. This is a light drizzle of sauce on top (vs a cup on the side as is standard). The Katsu sauce is what makes it chicken Katsu, and this really doesn’t have much Katsu flavor. On top of that, they have the AUDACITY to charge $3.50 for a side of Katsu sauce (which you have no way of knowing you need until you receive the order). Disappointing to...

When "Japanese" food comes with a fork instead of chopsticks, it means they know the food's not good enough for Japanese people to eat there. Yogis packages all orders in to-go containers, wasting money on packaging to imply that customers are not welcome to stay. But they do have seating, including a couple of outdoor tables. And the food wasn't terrible. The grilled chicken was rubbery, but I've had worse — just not from a Japanese place. It's definitely overpriced, and I won't return, but good enough to finish the meal.
