Recent Experience at Crust Brothers Pizza (Owner Pictured)
Normally, I don't like to post negative reviews, but the recent experience I had at a local establishment, Crust Brothers Pizza, warrants sharing, as recommended by others.
A few months ago, my wife and I had a disappointing encounter with a server here. Despite the less than stellar service, I still paid the bill and left a generous tip. We also reported the incident to the management and have returned many times since.
Unfortunately, our most recent visit turned extremely unpleasant. Instead of an apology or an attempt to make amends, we were met with aggression upon arrival and told that our business was no longer welcome by owner because of the incident that occurred several months ago. Shocked by this treatment, I tried to discuss the matter with the owner but he denied any discussion.
I then reached out to my fellow community members, including fellow Veterans, Officers, and Board Members, to seek their perspective and advice. They were equally disturbed by this incident and encouraged me to share my experience. Furthermore, they have chosen to no longer support Crust Brothers as a result.
As someone deeply invested in our community and as a volunteer on several boards, I find it disheartening that a local business would operate in such a manner. The negative impact of this incident has already begun to spread, with many in our network choosing to take their business elsewhere.
I share this with the hope that it will lead to positive change and improved customer relations within this business and others. Let's continue to support businesses that value our patronage and treat customers...
Read moreI first discovered Crust Brothers Pizza shortly after it opened in 2019. At that time, I was working on my driver's permit, and when I saw the high ratings of Crust Brothers Pizza, I decided to drive over and try it. While I do not remember what I got there the first time, it involved pepperoni, which is my favorite pizza topping. The style of pepperoni they serve is fantastic. I especially like the shape of the pepperoni, like little cups.
In my opinion, Crust Brothers Pizza is the best pizza in Arizona. It is a nice, thin, Ohio-style pizza crust, and I like the generous amount of topping they put on their pizzas. Whenever I visit Crust Brothers, I usually get two different meats, two different vegetables, and garlic. Their barbecue chicken pizza is also fantastic, as are their salads and wings.
The service is outstanding. I especially like how the owner, Mark, makes me feel welcome whenever I visit. He always makes me feel right at home as I enjoy a delicious meal. The other staff members are also friendly and helpful. I also appreciate how patient they are whenever I need some time to decide what I am going to eat on any particular day.
I also like that the restaurant gives you the option of sitting anywhere. The atmosphere is also great, with walls covered in famous quotes from some of the greatest movies of all time.
Crust Brothers Pizza is an excellent option for anyone looking for a pizza place in the Phoenix area. I highly recommend it and am looking forward to my next visit when I am in the...
Read moreCame here after visiting the Tempe location because everything was so good at the new location. The original location definitely did not disappoint. You seat yourself, we chose outside since the weather was nice. A few moments later one of the servers walked by to attend another party and happily acknowledged us and let us know she'd be right with us. Before she even finished another server came up and took our drink order. Both checked on us repeatedly, just great service. I pretty much ordered the same thing I got the first time at the Tempe location. The cheesy garlic bread is actually just a sub roll, split with garlic and cheese, as basic as it is it's great. The right amount of garlic and cheese and the roll is crispy but still fluffy.
The pizza seemed crispier than the other store, but same amazing amount of toppings. Normally when I order basil on a pizza I get a little bit, but Crust Brothers piles that basil on and it's amazing!
My fiance ordered a wedge side salad but asked to sub the gorgonzola for parmesan and they were happy to oblige. Bigger than we expected but she said it was really good, especially the parmesan ranch dressing.
There's a lot of options for pizza and it's really hard to screw up pizza, but there aren't many places that make you want to drive 45 minutes from the West valley just to get it, this place is one of them. The pizza is great and so is the service. Definitely recommended, if you've read this far just wondering if you should...
