The food was just average — but the real problem is how this owner treats paying customers who dare to be honest.
We drove 45 minutes one way (36 miles each way, 72 miles round trip) with a toddler and an infant because we trusted the good reviews. It was 110°F outside, yet inside they kept it at 80°F with no real AC. We sweated through lunch, fanning our kids with the menu just to keep them from overheating. By the time we got home, my wife was so sick she threw up everything.
I posted this honest review, believing any responsible owner would care. Instead, this owner publicly humiliated me, called me a liar, told me never to come back, and threatened that other businesses should boycott me and my family too — all because I told the truth.
When I checked other 1-star reviews, I found when someone else complained, they got a polite apology, a refund, and even a free meal for next time. But when someone like me, whose roots and origin are from India — same as the owner — dares to be honest, you get no apology, no refund — just public shaming and threats to blacklist you everywhere.
This is more than bad food — this is a business that treats people differently depending on who you are and where you come from. If you’re a native American customer, you’re treated politely and compensated. If you share the same Indian roots as the owner but speak up about bad service — you’re humiliated and threatened.
To be clear: I don’t just post 1-star reviews everywhere. I’ve attached my other recent reviews — most are 4 or 5 stars because when a business does a good job, I say so proudly. When an experience is as miserable as this, I stand by my words.
To anyone reading this: protect your money, your family’s comfort, and your dignity. Stay away. I don’t want a free meal — I want no one else to be threatened for telling the truth. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Read moreWe had a wonderful late lunch here yesterday. We were helped by 3 or 4 different folks even though they were slow, simply because every time someone walked by they checked on us to see if we needed anything. The food was delicious, there was a wide selection of curries on the menu. I got Rogan Josh curry with lamb and my husband got lamb masala, both were excellent. The jalapeño naan was surprisingly good and understated, the garlic naan had more forward flavors. The vegetable pakoras were made in house which is rare to find. They were quick to refill our rice and even did so when we requested to go containers so we brought home a full container of rice. That’s amazing service, the likes of which I don’t see very often so a huge shout out. They also use cloth napkins as you would find in a higher end restaurant.
The space was clean and comfortable with lots of natural light. The tables were spaced well and there wasn’t a lot of background noise.
The bathrooms were clean and well stocked.
As with any good curry, it was just as good if not better the second day!
My only recommendation for improvement is to add chai tea to the menu.
Thanks for a great dining experience,...
Read moreBeing a lover of Indian food, I was anxious to try this place since it’s nearby. I saw the original restaurant in Yuma had great reviews, so I was expecting the same. Unfortunately, my experience was mediocre at best.
I tried the Chettinad Dynamite curry, very spicy. I was expecting complex, unique flavors given the nuts and spices, but it was lacking in any complexity. I couldn’t taste any garlic, ginger, cumin, cinnamon, or any of the traditional spices used. The curry was also too thin with little to no vegetables.
When I mentioned this, they were kind enough to recommend and bring out a replacement (Kathurh Kadai) which was indeed spicy, but it had way too many onions and also didn’t have any complexity.
One other thing I noticed was that the side of rice was way too small for the dish.
The service was good, if a bit slow. The atmosphere seemed rather dark and dated. They should brighten up the place with traditional Indian colors and also raise the music volume.
I’m not opposed to trying it again, but compared to Hyderabad House, it’s more expensive, less flavorful, less atmospheric, and they don’t have lunch specials.
Hopefully the restaurant takes note and makes some...
