This store when first opened was suppose to be there new look. The coffee is behind the counter. So they will give you what you ask for and refill your cup. Einstein's wanted to promote the hand made specialty coffees, this location was suppose to be making more hand made specialty drinks than any other of their stores, (as told to me by the manager to be of this location) ie that is why the run of the mill coffees are behind the counter. Also this location probably has the fewest seats than any other location. You might have realized I review Einstein's Bagels often. Well, I am from New England and Jewish and grew up with bagels very often. I love bagels. When I moved to Phoenix, AZ I found a location close to where my daughter lived in Scottsdale, AZ where I stayed for 4-5 months and I went to the Einsteins near her just about every day. Then when I found an apartment I found another Einsteins close by and I can say I went there at least 5 days a week if not it was 7 days a week for 5-6 years until Covid and we all know that changed pretty much everything. So I just about know where every Einstein's location is and have almost been to all of them except maybe 1 or 2. The biggest problem with Einsteins now is their coffee. IT IS HORRIBLE!!!!!! And they do not want to put any money into remodeling. All though they have redone the location near me (it was so bad they basically had no choice) and it is 80% better but still has problems with a couple of their employees. And this location being so close to Panera bread is competing with the sip club promotion. I enjoy the Einstein's bagels so much that I went to the same location in Palm Harbor, FL for 9 years and had my coffee and bagel with the same 7-9 people every day Before I moved to Phoenix. And this location is about 2 miles from the ocean and probably able to look Hurricane Milton right in its face as it will hit the shoreline. That is enough for now. BUT, THE BAGELS ARE...
Read moreWe like Einstein bagels. We consistently have good food and experience. We ordered our food ahead of a busy day of running errands. We chose an Einstein we’ve never visited before in Scottsdale off shea. It was unfortunately a total 180 from what we’re accustomed to with other Einsteins. There was no point in ordering ahead if the food isn’t ready until 40 min after the pick up time. It’s took over an hour from the time we ordered to when the food to when we gave up and left without our food. No idea what was happening this morning but there’s an opportunity to review the process. We sat waiting for our food and politely asked for new expectations on when the food would be ready. A very rude woman advised it would be ready when it was ready. Where we can understand and patiently wait in circumstances where teams are short staffed. We could understand a Sunday morning rush as well. We would easily grant grace and patience because it’s not the status quo for our experience overall. We went to same women and let her know, we’d like a refund, stating we don’t know what the issue was and we were disappointed. A heavy set man interjected and said ‘well can’t imagine you’d expect anything when I’m 5 people down!’ I shared that we’d asked several times for updates on how long to wait and adjust our expectations he was frustrated and walked away. The woman working the counter wasn’t able to refund the order because order ahead is through the app. We left hungry, without a refund, and disappointed. The rudeness coupled with everything else is why we’d never recommend this...
Read moreI had a very disappointing experience at Einstein Bros. Bagels Store #3557. The customer service was unacceptable from the moment I walked in. The lobby was full of customers waiting, yet the staff seemed completely disorganized. The girl at the front taking orders appeared overwhelmed and confused, and at one point had to leave the register to find help in the back — leaving the line unattended while customers grew increasingly frustrated.
What made matters worse was the behavior of the employee making the food. She had a noticeable attitude, spent time chitchatting in the back while orders were piling up, and seemed completely uninterested in the growing crowd. When my order was finally addressed, it was wrong — and when I politely corrected it, the girl with the slight pink hair literally threw the bagel in the trash with a visible attitude. Her body language and demeanor were unprofessional, and it was clear she had no interest in delivering decent service.
This visit left a really bad impression. A lack of urgency, poor communication, and rude behavior from staff are not acceptable — especially when customers are waiting for extended periods with no explanation. I hope management addresses these issues, because this kind of service drives...
