Not that often that I that I see or go to Einstein Bro Bagels. Einstein Bagels is a favorite but this morning at 6am I spotted EB and made a U-turn. I ordered and everything bagel and garden veggie shmear Which came to $4.18.
As she went to prepare my bagel, I requested to add toasted with butter… The young lady responded Ok and proceeded. She did not give me any idea that there was a price difference. She has me to plain toasted butter bagel. I realize there was no veggie shmear on it, I then asked again for the spread and I’m assuming the manager came and said “Well we charge for everything” I asked do you charge for butter and she said yes I requested how much and she said that it would be $.89. I then said oh no redo it and just give me the spread. I asked how much is the spread she said about two dollars. I continue to ask questions because now I’m curious on why I was not informed of a price difference. My concern was if I would have taken the bagel with just butter Then what would happen to my change? The manager proceeded to say it stays in the register. Once you change your mind, then that’s it we don’t give extra information. Because of me changing my mind which I did not change my mind, but I was not informed as of the extra fees. So I asked the manager “So are you telling me that you’re keeping my money?” In response: The manager says ”No, the register keeps your money. It goes into an overage, but We as the employees (she said) do not keep the money.” If I did not request for my WANTS then I would have been robbed by Einstein. As my bagel was delivered, I realize how very lightly spread And messy the bagel was. Not happy. Watch your money because the company is watching yours.
Einstein Bros Bagels is not only misleading customers, but are stealing...
Read moreYou are my only one star review, Einstein's and this review is way overdue. My family and I have been coming here for over 10 years and while I like their bagels their SERVICE IS CONSISTENTLY HORRIBLE and we've just had it. Latest experience, I walk to Einstein's at least twice a week from my home for a coffee and bagel. At 6am, I asked the cashier if I needed to pre order a box of coffee to for pickup at 7:15am. She said no, it only takes 5-15 min max so I leave. Around 7:05am, a group of ~20 teenagers from a private school show up right before me. I asked the gentlemen making coffee if I could get a box of coffee to go and he said he'd start brewing coffee and to bypass the bagel order line and go to the cashier. When I get to the cashier, a different girl but repeat offender for bad customer service from past visits, told me the Einstein's employee making my coffee lied and that I needed to get in the back of the line behind the remaining 15 students. Now I've spent 7 minutes and am being told I have to wait behind 15 customers who have to have their food prepped. If that is your service model, you really need to rethink it but beyond that this same girl's ability to communicate respectfully as a service provider and think outside the box is horrible. This girl is the face of Einstein's and she needs training or shouldn't be interfacing with people. On a previous visit, she has also allowed me to order lunch and made me leave the restaurant because it was close to closing. Didn't tell me that up front when she asked me if I was dining in when she took my food order. Needless to say, I'll be finding another pit stop for my morning coffee walk. I'm hoping it's just this location as I do like their bagels. Shame on you,...
Read moreI used to frequent this location but stopped due to rampant issues. They lived up to my expectations but that isnt really positive for them... Upon walking through the door, I smell burnt bagels which it happens so I get it. However the toaster literally had flames going to the top of the oven and since it isn't supposed to be fire baked, clearly that was an issue. It stayed on fire for a fair amoubt of time before the flame was no longer visible but just a while later it appeared the fire had rekindled the love it had for the top of the oven (at least I hope it was love?).
My party asked for bagels lightly toasted and the staff handed me a bagel that was burnt and when my friend noted that, the staff said they didn't even toast it (which I noticed mine hadn't been toasted whatsoever) and then went back to their own thing. Next up was drinks. Hard for that to mess up, right? Apparently they excel at that here. I'm not extremely picky for drinks but I have times where I only am interested in one type of drink and don't want anything else. The same person who's bagle was served Alaskan specifically asked for a large Pibb since that was all he wanted and then he clarified that it is working. The staff found out it wasn't. If this location had few issues normally, I would assume just that this visit happened to get everything at once. But sadly this is my typical experience at this location.
Take it how you will,...
