Customer service is dying at this location. The gentleman at the register was extremely rude and inconsiderate. I understand there was a lots of people that come through the doors and sometimes it can be very frustrating when handling such large groups during a rush but if you do not want to be there just leave.
Me and my husband stopped in to have breakfast, we live right down the way and this is one of our stops for breakfast during the weekend. while we were about to receive our food I noticed that there was hair on my husband plate. The server froze for a moment and then said I he will fix this will be out in the moment. About 10 -12 minutes pass, why I have already start dining on my food my husband food arrives. We finished our meal and go up to the register the gentleman who was ringing us up look like he would just fed up or just did not care anymore . When he asks about our dining experience my husband told him what happened with having hair on her plate. The gentleman just said "MY JOB IS JUST TO SCAN!!!!). Who says that to a customer that had an issue with their food.
This this will be our last time dining at First Watch, I really believe this location needs to retrain some staff on hospitality in resolving issues in a professional manner. You are working in an environment where you constantly in contact with people and people skills are must. This makes me extremely sad because I have work in the restaurant industry for a while and this is not how you handle people. Even if your food is incredible people will not return if you have poor customer service skills. Customers wants to feel welcome they want to feel like they're being heard and taking action when they have an issue. Please retrain your staff (not all) just the gentleman at the register on how to resolve issues and be there...
Read moreI've been to this location many times in the past. Today will be my last time coming here, or any First Watch location.
My wife and I stopped in to get breakfast before going to an expo in Downtown Phoenix. I was in a hurry, but the wait time was only 15 minutes. After being seated and placing our orders, the waiter came back to drop off our drinks. After that, we didn't see him again. Thirty minutes passed and we finally got our food. I found a hair in my food and the guy took it back to remake it. I was already in a hurry, so this caused me to be late.
The waiter finally came back to check on the issue and I told him what I found in my food. He said that they would remake it and that it should be out shortly. After we finished eating, we got the check, and I saw the meal was still on there. I didn't expect nor did I want the whole thing comped, just the plate with the hair in it.
I took our check up to the guy at the register to pay. He had slick backed hair and seemed to just want to get people in and out. He asked how everything was and I told him what I found in my food. He listened to my entire explanation and then scanned the check. He had the nerve to then say, "I just scanned this, so..." No, you hesitated to hear me out, then purposely scanned the check so that we couldn't do anything about it. No apology. No sympathy. Just pay and get out.
The attitude of your cashier caused you to lose a customer for life. I wasn't being unreasonable and expecting a free meal. I just wanted a bit of customer service, and acknowledgement that we shouldn't pay for food with a hair in it. My wife and I won't be back. I suggest you also think twice before...
Read moreWe turned into the large Promanade mall thinking Italian for lunch. Somehow we were headed the wrong direction, so we circled the whole mall finding a wealth of great stores and intriguing dining establishments. I think it was the name, First Watch, that screamed to me. Then the fact it is only open until 2 pm serving breakfast, brunch and lunch. We decided to try it. This was a very wise decision. Best of the 10 days here in AZ. I will try to post pictures of the menu. First Watch calls themselves a cafe. When you open the doors the smell of forest roasted coffee beans is overwhelming but as you get fully inside it blends with other pleasant smells. Part of First Watch mission is to serve healthy food. Do not be afraid. Bacon features prominently on their menu. One whole wall says "I love you more than bacon" which gives you a clue to their appreciation of it. A very difficult decision was made easier when we found 2 for U on the menu allowing you to order any two 1/2 salad, a 1/2 sandwich or a bowl of soup, tomato garlic or soup of the day. This day was a butternut squash bisque. Despite it being the coldest day yet, I chose the ham gruyere melt with dijon mustard on a grilled sandwich half and the avocado salad with citrus chipolte dressing. My friend had the Honey pecan salad with warmed honey mustard. We were both thrilled with our choices. Even though they were busy service was good. A+...
