This is a bit of an upscale Food Court kind of place, but with a French Twist. Sort of. France as viewed through the lens of American eyes perhaps.
I enjoyed the experience. It is a self service restaurant, the food being inside larger clear plastic cubes and you pluck your selection with tongs and place the food on a tray. Take your items to the counter where you can order a variety of drinks, hot or cold, and pay for the fare.
First the food. I had a ham and cheese croissant and a tart made with egg and cinnamon. Both delicious! The food is served cold and was tasty. I imagine if you take the item home and give it a quick buzz in the microwave it would be better, but then, I like warmed meals. Note: There are hot sandwiches available. Next time I'll snag one of these. And there will be a next time!
The selections all looked great. You can see the food being prepped behind the displays. I was impressed with how clean the place is despite being busy.
We also ordered chai lattes. Quite the best I've had in a long while.
The prices are very reasonable, lower than I expected. Boxes are available for gathering food to take home. I noticed several people "stocking up" and wish I'd done the same.
Overall I have no complaints about the experience, but one observation. Staff members who wear strong cologne, overpowering customers before they even reach the cash register, are a distinct disadvantage to a good experience. I'm not tagging the restaurant for this, but I overheard a family talking about it and I agree that the intensity was inappropriate.
Overall I highly recommend Paris Baguette for a fresh experience in quick, quality food. Families should be able to find something for everyone.

Read moreI have loved this little treasure since they opened up! Just a special place to meet have a tea (or coffee) and treat with someone. I went on Monday afternoon about 4:00 to pick up a few pastries to take to a friend's house for a Tuesday lunch. What I encountered broke my bubble of love for this place. First of all, the pastries left at the end of the day looked like they were the burnt out mistakes from the day. I was able to find 8 items that were fairly decent. Took them up to the counter and the cashier who was leaning on the counter (almost laying on it) never addressed me. The counter was filthy, so much so that the 2 boxes I had got sticky crumbs on the bottom. I mentioned the dirty counter and she shrugged and didn't say anything. Her hands and nails were pretty disgusting too. I bought my items ($32.00 for 8 somewhat burnt pastries) and had to ask for a bag which totally annoyed her. The rest of the store was pretty untidy too. Front of the house is so important as the customers (me) see and make opinions on what they see and experience.
So what is my point ... I love the concept and the pastries are so adorable, worth the upcharge, but that experience really left a really bad impression. I will go back, one bad employee shouldn't ruin the whole operation, but I feel this issue of cleanliness and laziness should be addressed.
On a positive note there were a few people in the Kitchen who were very diligently cleaning the baking area and the empty shelves.
Additionally the store appearance seems to be a common thread as you read through the comments. I suggest the management go in as a customer (secret shopper style) and see...
Read moreI took 2 of my boys here for some comfort sweets after a hard day of work. We had so much fun!
To start, you grab a box (or a tray) and a pair of tongs then you get to go around to all of the cases and select which items you would like. We came around 4pm and the cases were about half full and many items were out so in hindsight (or next time we come), I think it would be better to come in the morning to get the best selection of pastries.
We got 6 different items to try. They have mochi doughnuts which I have never had before so we got a few of those and they were sooooo good. They have a soft, chewy texture to them, the dough is slightly sweet and they were just delicious. We tried the regular mochi doughnut and the coconut one. The coconut one was a little too sweet for me, but it was still really good.
We also tried a custard and strawberry filled croissant, a chocolate croissant, a custard tart and a custard doughnut. Custard doughnut - amazing. The custard in both pastries was delicious…not overly sweet, creamy, so good.
I will agree with another reviewer that I think the croissants were a little too crispy/dry but they were still really good.
We got ours to go, we had 6 items and I left a 15% tip and the total was about $25 so I think the prices were very reasonable for the quality of the pastries.
The restaurant was bright and clean and the staff was friendly.
We will...
