Chicharron Shack — Local services in Glendale

Huge fans of pork belly, especially in Asian cuisine, and we try to make it ourselves—but it’s such a labor-intensive process. When we saw this spot offering a Dominican/NY-style version, we had to give it a try.

The pork belly and chicken were both crispy and tender, without being breaded or overly greasy. The seasoning was bright and citrusy, nicely balanced and not too salty—made even better with a squeeze of lime. And the chimichurri sauce really brought everything together—honestly, it might have stolen the show.

Even our 2-year-old enjoyed the pork and chicken, and he’s usually picky about textures. The crispy edges were just right and not overly chewy. As we figured, he also devoured the pastelitos—perfect little handheld meat pockets for a toddler!

The fries had that same awesome citrusy seasoning, and the plantain chips were a nice, unique, and balanced addition. Honestly, we ended up dumping the chimichurri on everything—it was that good.

We’re definitely looking forward to ordering again and...

Stopped by today to check out this new spot to try out some Puerto Rican food. The kids devoured it before I could take any pictures. The pork chicharrons were hot, crunchy, and very juicy. The chimichurri sauce totally complements the dish. Unlike other bland chicharrons I've tried at other places, this one definitely has a lot of flavor in it. Most likely it was well marinated beforehand. That's a plus in my book! My favorite is definitely the pastelitos....had an entire order to myself :) No sharing with the hubby. Highly recommend to try them out. Definitely coming back again. Thank you...

Stopped by after seeing this place on TikTok, and I’m so glad I did! Authentic Dominican food is hard to find in AZ, and this spot hits the mark. It’s located inside a commercial kitchen — you scan a barcode to order, or place your order ahead of time (which I recommend since everything is made fresh and takes a little longer). I tried the pork chicharrón with French fries, served with their chimichurri sauce, and wow… it was amazing! The pork was crispy, flavorful, and that sauce took it over the top. Definitely worth checking out, and I’ll be back for more!
