Hashi Sushi — Restaurant in Scottsdale

Wow! I almost don’t want to write a review in fear that people will find out about this place, amazing sushi! Fortunately I have maybe three followers so they won’t get flooded by this review. This is the same location as Blue Sushi which was awful. New ownership, a much cleaner look, and infinitely better sushi.

The fish is so fresh I think I saw my O-Toro move. If you like to sweat a little while eating order the Fire Dragon with extra jalapeños. The Albacore Tataki is sensational, the Blushing Geisha is outstanding and the nigiri hamachi belly was absolutely the very best. If you can still eat top that off with a Toro hand roll and extra burned unagi, which was burned to perfection. The team at Hashi are the nicest people, so inviting and accommodating. This is my new favorite sushi bar and only a mile from the house. I highly recommend Hashi! They buy their fish on Monday, Wed, and Friday. Only buy small batches so you get only the best. My only complaint they were out of Uni.

My second visit: Takeout

My wife and I eat a lot of takeout sushi, I wish it were the other way around because sushi is delicate and it's always better with a seat at the bar, not a table, THE BAR. It's actually kind of a thing in our family, if dad can't get a seat at the bar he would rather have takeout. I did not have a menu and I could not find the menu online so I ordered from my previous review. I have to say the service was fantastic and the takeout was very good. You cannot order a takeout hand roll and expect the seaweed to be crisp when you get it home and Hashi's was no different, but the Toro filling was amazing. The Dragon and Geisha rolls were very, very good. The O'Toro was sick (in a good way). The fish was extremely fresh! If your looking for a great sushi bar with the nicest owners this is the place to go. My daughter is coming to town tonight so we are going to do another...

Hashi Sushi, what a great experience. Don’t let being in a random strip mall in north Scottsdale fool you, this place is putting out some amazing sushi. They made the inside look and feel like you’re not in said strip mall. Staff was super friendly and answered a couple questions on the menu. I enjoy they have many seats available to watch the sushi being prepped. Also have some foreign beer options which is a fun touch. We started with the steamed gyoza, these weren’t my favorite the outer edges were a little hard. Wish we would’ve tried the fried. The sushi was the star of the show, as it should at a sushi place. We tried 3 rolls, the oasis, tropic, and Samurai. All 3 were very good but I think the Oasis was our favorite, such a fresh taste, the tropic was very good the sweet mango was nice to go with the crab mix, and the Samurai was great the top seared salmon gave it a nice smoky flavor. My wife and I ordered takeout from Hashi Sushi, and though we weren’t dining in, we ended up sitting down while waiting and the service was absolutely outstanding. The moment we walked in, the staff greeted us with genuine warmth and attentive care, turning what could have been a brief wait into a delightful part of the experience.

When our order arrived, it was clear that Hashi takes pride in every dish. Each bite of sushi and sashimi was incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor. The restaurant’s friendly, welcoming vibe and exceptional attention to detail made us feel truly valued, despite being takeout customers.
